Disappointed that The Tailor wasn’t serving its full cocktail menu the evening we visited as seemingly they did not have all the ingredients! Sadly didn’t get any five star wow factor impression - the hotel feels quite ‘corporate’ and impersonal. Breakfast options were varied but the coffee was awful. Rooms were spotlessly clean but underwhelming. Good location but wouldn’t stay here again.

Everything was fine and acceptable but we had 2 issues regarding heater, which resolved after 4 days and also lavatory sink which was clogged every day!

Wij hebben één nacht doorgebracht in dit hotel. Wij vonden het een prachtig hotel! Voor herhaling vatbaar! De ligging van het hotel is ook geweldig. Je zit midden in het centrum op de Dam. Het ontbijt was heerlijk in de wintertuin.

Guaranteed check in at 3 didn't happen. Staff didn't even offer to reach out when it would be. Felt unappreciated as a guest. The thermostat or whatever wasn't heating the room for crap. There was a shower cap tied around smoke detector. Lots of dust in room you can tell it wasn't cleaned properly in a long time and on multiple occasions I had things delivered and had to go grab them from the front desk myself because they just ignored it. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable square box I've ever slept on. The robes and towels are very nice, however I would never stay here again based on what they charge for what you get it's robbery. This hotel is for people that like to drink alcohol put simply. Walking distance from entrance to rooftop terrace room lift 4 is a very long walk!!!! First time and definitely will be my last.

Disappointing
The location of the hotel is perfect and only a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal station. Though the lobby looks very beautiful, some hotel parts are very dated. If you do choose this hotel, note that you will hear the church bell every hour until midnight. Also, look out for when they check-in and ask you to go up Lift 4. This is very far from the main hotel building, and it is a service lift to get to your room. Our room had stains on the furniture. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the bathroom was clean and looked upgraded. Overall, it was a disappointing stay but I would say choose this for convenience and not a long stay.

I love this hotel and every one working there the staff are so friendly and the rooms are so clean but they have to do something about the safety and security. They have to add to the key cards to go to the room not everyone easily go upstairs to the room.

The hospitality at this location is second to none. Our check in and checkout was smooth. The Tailor Bar is a nice area to have a few drinks and relax. The hotel is located near mall that has all the high end stores as well as others. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel even provides umbrellas for use. We had a small problem with service being charged to our room, but this was quickly corrected upon checkout.

Good Location and Staff
I had booked a room with a double bed but when I went to my room it had two single beds. I was moved to another room but I feel the room was an off room. The round table by the chair was very wobbly so I just had to spin it to tighten it up (no more wobble). The lamp on the desk was not fixed properly I tried but didn't really manage it. The bed was off centre and the round table by the bed was very badly scratched. With their star rating it's things like that can put you off.

My compadres and myself stayed over the weekend for 3 nights, outstanding service, excellent location, and the room with a balcony was gallous as they come, the lift system is wild taking into account "the bridge" even that offered a birds eye view of the comings and goings of the square, thanks to the hotels glorious location, but aye 5 stars will viait again, juat make sure to bring your wallet and/or purse
