We enjoyed Kumamoto very much. The Kumamoto Castle was very interesting and my daughter loved all the anime shops nearby. We traveled a little more south to Ashikita where my mother's family is from.

We really wanted to visit Kumamoto for a long time because our grandfather is originally from Kumamoto. He came to Hawaii when he was 18 in 1918 and settled there. At age 90, he passed away. We finally could visit his home town.
