This was an unfortunate experience from the outset. The hotel misplaced my main piece of luggage between my arrival and check-in time. While it was recovered, it added a great deal of unnecessary stress.
Equally disruptive were the groaning and gurgling pipes in the bedroom of my suite. These caused a constant racket, making it difficult to sleep. The staff were informed of the issue and agreed it was truly a problem, but they did not take any action to correct it or change my accomodations.
The staff would also not arrange for a metered taxi for my departure and insisted on only using their sedan service. The initial price for this was extortionate: 2500 baht. While this was eventually negotatied down, the whole process bookended an unpleasant stay.
The redeeming qualities are the hotel's cebtral location with easy access to two metro lines and its consistent albeit unusual breakfast buffet which had Asian and Western options (does anyone eat pasta in the morning?!).
