John Bell House Review
Great location from everything downtown. Just a few blocks from the Town Hall. Room was clean. However, the elevators were not working while we were there which meant we had to walk up four long flights of stairs. Overall, great stay!

Hyvä sijainti, huono palvelu ja likainen huone
Hostelli hyvällä paikalla Belfastin keskustassa. Huonetta ei oltu siivottu edellisten vieraiden jäljiltä, lakanat ja pyyhkeet puuttuivat. Kylpyhuoneen lattia ja suihkuverhot olivat homeen peitossa. Henkilökunta oli hieman välinpitämätön asian suhteen. Petivaatteet saatiin vasta myöhään illalla, kun olimme huomauttaneet kahdesti asiasta.

Having checked in at 6pm was told linen was still being changed. Got back at midnight to find still no sheets or towels. Took another 45 minutes to get this done as I was only one of many in a similar situation and there was only one person on duty.

The best thing going for this property is its central location. It was very easy to get around the city centre from here. And that was the main reason we booked it, along with the price as well. However, when we arrived around 9:30pm there was another woman trying to get into the property. She had also just arrived & was having no luck getting hold of anyone to let her into the building. Thankfully, someone was leaving & so let us all in. The other lady had been phoning a number she had & there was no answer. We got inside & there was no one around & no way of gaining access into the part of the building that looked like an empty reception. My husband hunted around the halls until he found someone who must have worked there & who managed to find the young lady who should have been there to check us in. Not what you want when you're expecting check-in to be open until 10pm & are waiting to go out for food. We were there for 2 nights & hardly slept. All of the doors are heavy fire doors & it seems no one has any regard for anyone else in the building & there were doors slamming all night! Also, despite the weather (we'd had some rain), it was boiling in our room. Don't forget TOILET ROLL - there was none in the room when we were finally given our key. There is a Tesco Express nearby thankfully, but again I had no idea this would be the case.

The location is very convinient, very close to the city center and to the bus station. The room looked like it wasn't cleaned properly, hair, dust and coins on the floor, it was hard to say if the sheers were changed on the bed and the mattress wasn't very comfortable (quite noisy and you could feel the springs pushing on your back).
