The Silver Lining Lodge
My family of 4 has been coming to Big Bear, multiple times a year, for 8 years, since my kids were 1 and 3. We have stayed in many cabins, both during summer and winter months. We couldn't be happier with Big Bear Lakefront Cabins! Every cabin we've stayed in through this company has been perfect! Our latest stay was at The Silver Lining Lodge...a quaint and cozy cabin in the heart of Moonridge. Not only was the location perfect (just a 5-10-minute drive to The Village, a 5-minute drive to the best mountain biking or ski slopes, and a short 8-10 minutes to Magic Mountain!), it is also remote enough so you feel secluded and your dogs have the run of the forest, yet close enough to the action, where there isn't an activity that feels too far away.
The Silver Lining Lodge is a 2 bedroom cabin that would comfortably sleep 6. We just had 4 of us and 2 dogs. The cabin, while on the smaller side, feels incredibly spacious, with its gorgeous peaked ceilings, large windows and multiple decks with stunning views. It is also in a cul-de-sac so it feels quiet and safe. My kids had a great time "exploring" the neighborhood, while I felt they were safe outside without grownups. We could see and hear the entire street while inside!
The cabin is very tastefully decorated...the owners have an eye for decorating! The lighting and furniture make for a cozy, homey, yet classy feel. Every piece of art (from the vintage snowshoes to the farmhouse lanterns to the multiple dear-antlered decor, to the antique skis), is thoughtfully placed with intention, which adds to the perfect ambiance of this romantic, mountain get-a-way. What I loved most about this home is the authentic feel of it being a "cabin in the woods," built long ago, but it also boasts new cabinetry, new furniture, a remodeled bathroom and brand new amenities throughout. The kitchen was well-stocked, as was all of our necessary household items and bathroom toiletries.
I have never written a review for any business before, but couldn't resist doing one for this gem! My family created the most beautiful memories and we have Big Bear Lakefront Cabins and the owner of this perfect cabin to thank for it!
We will most definitely rent this cabin again and recommend it to friends and family.
