Host cancelled 24 hours before

The host cancelled 24 hours before the stay, with not much remorse or reason.They only cancelled on message, and not officially on the VRBO app, meaning I had to spend a long time on the phone to VRBO customer service to ensure I got my money back. (At one stage, it was even mentioned that the host had marked that we HAD stayed at the accommodation).As a side note, the VRBO customer service were really helpful. Everyone I spoke to was patient, and made sure my problem was solved.

We were moved into another house and it had mould on veilings smelt damp. Paint coming off walls in several places, spindel on stairs missing nails hanging out, no electric left on meter. Broken things around the house. Right opposite noisy pub. Front door hard to get out of fire hazzard. And communication awful from property owners. And aftercare horendous.
