No noise abatement between rooms, very noisy at midnight, but the location of the hotel is excellent near to central station on food within 6min. and George kind square bus station on foot within 1min.

Located near the Central Station within 5 min. on foot. Can go to the Queen St. within 5 min. on foot and South Bank parkland on foot within 15min. on foot as well. Great location ! However, the rooms are lack of noise abatement, such we heart very noisy from the adjoining rooms and the corridors at midnight.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Location worked excellently for us, just about near to transport needs (bus and train stops across the road, ferry is around 600 m walk from hotel). Mercure is in the heart of Brisbane CBD, facilities, restaurants, cafes and 7/11 shops are around the corner. Brisbane City Council is across the road. We love the hotel, a bit older but clean and tidy. We love to be back, highly recommended.

All in all a good experience, the only things I’d have to mention is that when we arrived we payed for the room which is fine but when we got upstairs we noticed an extra $100 taken out of the account. We went back and asked and reception said it was a security deposit, again that was fine, my issue was that very little information was given to us when we checked in, the security deposit included. The room was nice however the couch was so severely stained and most of the powerpoints weren’t working. The Pullman and Mercure reception were the same however the mecure wasn’t signed all that clearly which we heard other guests talking about as well. The staff were all very lovely and we enjoyed the valet parking. The location was really good, very close to everything. The roof top bar was also a hoot!

The property is in a fantastic position. The cafe's food is terrible so eat elsewhere or in the rooftop bar, where the food is simple but well made. I have avo and toast for breakfast. Black toast, cooked on ONE side raw on the other, like someone got tongs and literally blasted it on the gas. Disgusting. Got a refund, but had a flight to catch so had to leave. Seriously that's all I got for $15 or $16. Two inedible pieces of toast, watery avo, and the laziest cook in Brisbane.

Close to the mall but check in was very slow with a very long line. Reception were enticing people to sign up to their membership with free drinks. We weren’t offered membership nor did we get a clean room. The sheets and doona were stained with blood and extras. On check out they asked if we had anything from the mini bar. Obviously when you book in through Wotif they remove everything out as my reply was “you didn’t supply one thing”. Place was very tired and in need of TLC. For $260 for the night I would expect atleast to be treated like a normal guest. Won’t be staying nor recommending them to anyone. We will go back to Voco hotels.

Best bed!
Had a great time, the room was perfectly clean. I travel for work all the time and this was one of the comfiest beds I've slept in for some time! Also, the iron was great to use! Just a shame that the pool closes so early (7pm), as most days we finished our event at 6pm so a swim would have been wonderful.

While the condition and cleanliness was satisfactory overall, the room was quite dated and the windows were not cleaned. Additionally, I am having to chase up a transaction error with the hotel completed on their part on check in and check out.
