A horrible experience. Booked in and they insisted I pay the hotel upfront even though I had booked via expedia and they had authenticated my credit card. Arrived at the room the corridor wall was full of patches, there were no hangars or or glasses in the room. These were delivered later. Next day return to room late afternoon, the used towels are still on the floor together with all the dirty glasses. It takes 30 minutes to have towels and clean glasses delivered to our room, told the hotel is very busy and cant provide ta quicker service. The gym is not clean and the equipment in poor repair, 3 of the 4 Bikes either had parts missing or were broken, the pedals of the elliptical trainer were so dirty that my shoes stuck to the pedals. Reported this nothing was done. The service of the room the next day was lacking, we received clean towels but all our dirty glasses were left behind. I am a silver member - when I asked why my stay did not qualify for the points I was told it was because we booked via an external booking engine. Will not use the Novotel chain if I can help it.
