Memorable Family Time

Ski Shack

The house was very clean, quiet and relaxing. We loved the decor and accomodations. We were warned that the lake level was really low this time of year which was a bummer because I am sure that it would have added to the experience. Aside from a surprising septic issue, we enjoyed our stay.

Hidden Treasure

This place is isolated which is exactly what we were looking for. We hosted a meal, and spent the whole day in the back by the fire pit. Weather was perfect, windy and cool. Perfect fire pit weather. We felt like the only ones on the lake that night.

The Ski Shack was a winner

Great property. Very clean and nicely done. It would have been nice to know the boat dock was not usable with the current lake level. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.

Our family loved the Ski Shack at Lake Bridgeport!

We loved the home and the property! This cabin was set up with everything we had 10 adults and teenagers it was so spacious! The kitchen was wonderful and had everything I needed to make a 3 full meals a each day! My kids loved the paddle boats on the lake and fishing right at the cabin! We left to go to the park for beachside lake and nature walk and it was only about 20 - 30 minutes drive. The owners were so nice about ensuring we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back

Thanksgiving at the lake

I spent Thanksgiving weekend with my adult children and families. The kitchen was perfect for the cooking we did and there was room for all of us. We were 7 in total. We did step down to the lake, but, unfortunately, it rained all weekend. We still had a great weekend.

Disgusted!

I want to start by saying that this property could be a good spot to stay, with some TLC. I asked the property manager to check in early a week in advance, nothing. Two days before our stay the phone was blowing up as to how we could pay an extra 70 to get in a few hours early, clearly not ready for us to be there even at our planned check in time. The place was dirty, disgusting, a live mouse in the filthy toilet. We had to wait for three hours to get into a cleaned up place. Where’s my 70 refund for having to delay our check in? This place was rented 3 months in advance, ridiculous. They did refund my cleaning fee, which was supposed to be refunded if the property was left clean and rules followed? Very poorly managed!

Worst experience, dealing through VRBO

This property was nothing but a problem VRBO relocated us an hour and 15 minutes away from our original destination because the owner backed out last minute from the homes we originally rented a month prior this home had a small septic tank so it had to be emptied every two days The management company of this HOME left us with no amenities. One roll of toilet paper one roll of paper towels, three garbage bags, three pods for dishwasher. There wasn’t even a broom in this place. The pump for the wild kept overheating so we had to go reset that there’s no water in the channel , even though it shows that is on the water the small backyard is just weeds we contacted the management company in reference to the septic which has no Leitchfield at all and they said we have to be more water mindful. It’s a 500 gallon tank for nine people. If you Google septic tanks that’s large enough for four people with a drainfield this has no drainfield. This place should not even be on the market for rental. This is crazy, vrbo takes no responsibility for anything. I spoke with them and they said we’re only the listing agent that’s on the owners .Vrbo made sure they got my money, so be careful next time I’ve dealt with them for many years. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Because of the far distance from our original rental this was just a very costly trip traveling. All our plans are all set up in and around Fort Worth. Just a terrible experience.

Thanksgiving by the (dry) lake

The place is amazing. Plenty of space, lots of kitchen space. It's a shame the lake level has dropped, but the shack is still a great place. We had a great time.
