The worst experience
The hotel rooms are still under repair! The corridors and rooms are being painted, so there is a strong smell of paint as soon as you get out of the elevator! Our room smelled of paint, obviously freshly painted! Changed the room on another floor, still smell of paint. It is really unacceptable! I have stayed in different 5 star hotels in different countries and this has not happened before! It’s the worst experience in my life!

百尺竿頭應更進一步
有歷史感的酒店，非常氣派，重點是倚托過去而生的那份雍容感。除了住宿，行前我還預訂了晚餐跟跨年派對，表現得可圈可點，可謂今此最難忘的部分──然而，入住我準時抵達酒店、準備CHECK IN，接待人員以房間尚在清掃為由，無法準時給房，以至於延遲入住（late check-in）；以酒店的規格來說，這件事不應當發生，就算發生了，也應該有相應的措施，例如給予飲品招待券或給予延退等補償，希望下回百年酒店在應對之際能更加積極，畢竟造成了住客實際的損失（花錢但無法充分享受足夠的入住時刻）！

Good bye E&O!
This is a very disappointing staying experience. It is my fourth time to visit this hotel. The previous three stays of E & O were very enjoyable. Upon arrival, there were postcards handwritten by the hotel manager and cordial greetings from the front desk staff. These are the reasons why I chose to visit E & O again, but this time it may be that the management team changed these advantages and all of them disappeared. Even at 10 o'clock morning in the morning, a service staff came knocking at the door and asked me when I want to check out ?Are you try to rushing customers? Check out time is 12:00 and you guys send someone to rush your customer? What a rotten hotel! I did not get any response from the front desk afterwards. Based on this experience, I will definitely not consider the next time.

The location is quite convenient to the tourist spot. It gets a good sea view. However, the amenity kit quality is not good enough in view of the 5-star hotel. Slippers quality is bad. It's too thin, not comfortable. Sockets are not enough as I need to find any extra to charge up my camera and mobile phones and Ipad. I could not find a proper place to let the kettle boil the water only if I took away the things on the desk. It was not good as the desk is the only a place for me to put my mobile, map, purse and Ipad.

Spacious; sea view excellent. The waiters in the 6th floor are professional; quite and excellent seaview environment. Feel being treated and respected consistently as lady and gentleman. On demand service got prompt response. Noisey in mid-night, from 11pm-12am. Yet the toilet facility is excellent. Room cleaning service is impressive. Bath tube is so big and solid. Perfect if one ant-slippery cover in toilet is available, for the showering area and the bath tube are quite slippery.

I've been staying in the Heritage Wing of this hotel for many times, however as the Heritage Wing was under renovation, we have to stay in the new wing for the first time. Comparing with the Heritage Wing, the new wing was too small without providing the sitting area with tea table, no grooming area. I prefer to stay at the Heritage Wing for my next trip.
