At check in I waited over 5 min while receptionist was on the phone without even acknowledging my presence, happy to wait just don’t ignore the fact that someone is stood there. Big long black hairs in the bath, carpet all stained and clearly hadn’t been hoovered with any effort or cleaned recently. Mattress was comfy and shower had plenty of power although the temperature restrictor was missing so just as well it was an adult using it not a child who could could get a really nasty scald. Overall Iv stayed in better premier inn or travel lodge so not worth the extra money.

Beautiful place , lovely staff , comfortable bed ,awesome relaxing for families and couples with a clean swimming pool and gym . Definitely we coming back .

Great place to stay
Had a lovely weekend stay. Room was spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. A particular mention goes to Louisa in the breakfast room, she was very attentive to not just ours but all guests and went out of her way to ensure breakfast was a pleasant experience. Also to Andy and Alison in the Maze bar and restaurant who were also very friendly and provided a service where nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely return.

Definitely will be back
We have visited the pool before but stayed this time and it was absolutely amazing! We had a great time! The room was upto date and very clean. We had breakfast, food was great and there was loads of options. Pool was great as usual and the blonde girl that was working at the pool side went above and beyond to help us. She’s a credit to the hotel. Would definitely recommend and we will now be booking once a month to stay!

Stayed here as a stop over from a night out The rooms are in need of a SERIOUS revamp Cracks in walls, windows let in draughts and don't stop any noise so we had to put up with there disco until it finished. so if staying here don't think about getting a decent nights sleep The breakfast was ok enough choices for everyone except hot foot is right beside Aircon blower so food is a little cold We told the staff member who really didn't seem to bothered by it so we left it at that You would probably pay less money for a better standard room and warmer food in a cheaper hotel

nice hotel - poor service at dinner
hotel is nice, bed was comfy, room was clean. i must say i don't often bother leaving reviews as i stay away every week and it becomes a chore. so unless very good or very bad i don't bother. this hotel is nice, a little worn, but clean and good value. i have to say the food was very nice when it came, but the service imo was poor. i ordered pate to start. came with no cutlery so had to wait 2 mins for that., the pate was nice, and a good portion, but you get two small triangles of toast and you are left with a large portion of pate with no toast to put it on, surley the toast is the cheapest part of the meal? how about giving your customers at least one slice of bread? maybe even two? i ordered fish and chips, very nice food, but again delivered with no cutlery and i had to wait two minutes for them to bring me a knife and fork. i asked for salt, vinegar and tartar source. i got the salt but the others came at the end of the meal. ?? just poor really. the staff seemed nice to be fair just very inneficient and you dont want to be kept waiting for cutlery etc when the meal is served in front of you, my advice - put the cutlery out first !!

Excellent staff service in all areas of the hotel. Comfortable bed and room cleaned daily. Breakfast excellent. Spa facilities good however sauna out of order at the time of our stay. Would use hotel again. 👍

All you need for a break away
Nice hotel with all you need for a stay away. Pool quite compact however nice to have a swim when on holiday. Breakfast had a good selection and pleasant surroundings

Helpful, friendly staff.
Very comfortable beds and clean rooms. Breakfast is good but they seem to run short of yoghurts and granola. Would like the dinner menu to have more variety or to be changed every night. Staff are a credit to the hotel and are helpful and friendly at all times.

Could be better
Nice hotel & location. The room was a wee bit tired with the net privacy curtains not the greatest & coming down at one side & the curtain was a bit stained as was bed post. We had to keep window closed mostly fue to smokers standing nearby talking smoking etc. This is one thing the hotel need to do is move smokers away from entrance of hotel. As a non smoker it wasn’t great walking through or being in a room their smoke drifted into

Beautiful buildings, decor good. Bed/pillows comfortable...lamps all working in bedroom. Bedroom spacious. Shower lovely and hot. Pool and leisure facilities available although we did not use them. Free parking handy.Brrakfast was good and lots of choice. Staff helpful.

Nice hotel. Disappointing breakfast.
Nice option just outside of Dundee. Comfortable and clean rooms . Breakfast was a let down. Not many options for vegans. The hash browns contain milk, the mushrooms cooked in butter. (Was not even mentioned on the dietary card , we had to ask) no vegan sauages. Just had beans on toast. Not great for a hotel of this standard.

One night stay
The hotel is in need of a refurb we were disappointed the pool was closed but the hotel reception were very good at offering a small refund in light of this which was sincerely appreciated as we were not aware of this prior to our stay. Our dinner was ok Andy who worked in the bar had excellent customer service skills with a lovely smile which well deserved a tip! Breakfast was a bit frustrating I had to go back a few times as the food was not all available at the hot counter ran out of butter and replaced with awful supplement! Basically you need to increase your staff numbers on a busy weekend breakfast day as they were unjustly getting a lot of complaints when management clearly had not got enough of them in the rota! I hate to see this as it is unfair to the staff tirelessly running around doing the job of 2 people!

Great stay
Clean room in perfect condition and comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, check-in and out was quick. Only minus was that the pool was closed, while we were there.
