In the middle of it all, yet away from it all... Elk Meadow Cottage is the best of both worlds. Our house is just 5 miles off of I-40 and bordered on 3 sides by the Kaibab National Forest, giving you privacy, peace, and quiet. Yet, it is also conveniently located just 20 minutes from Flagstaff and Williams/Polar Express, and just over an hour from the Grand Canyon and Sedona! There is so much to do and see in Northern Arizona and Elk Meadow Cottage is the perfect home base for your adventures.
Our Cottage is nicely furnished, has new, top quality linens, and is kept in immaculate condition. We have many fun outdoor activities as well, including a hammock, zipline, slack line, swing, and horseshoes.
The master bedroom features a king bed and adjoining bath with jetted soaking tub. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms plus a 2nd full bath. Kids love sleeping and playing in the inviting loft space.
Perfect location for your base camp for all the attractions and natural wonders that Northern Arizona has to offer. Access to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Slide Rock Park, Polar Express & North Pole Experience, Grand Canyon Railway, 5 area fishing lakes, and several golf courses.
Relax by the fireplace with a book or enjoy one of the many family friendly movies and games provided. BBQ and dine on the deck under the pines. Cool, fresh, pine scented mountain air in this wooded setting in the Kaibab Nat'l Forest at 7500 ft. The home is located in an area known for wildlife viewing, views of the San Francisco peaks, and access to miles and miles of hiking / biking / cross country skiing trails.

A perfect getaway spot for our family spring break trip! Lots of room for teenagers and adult children to spread out. We had a blast on the zip line and hanging out in the adorable loft. The home is very well taken care of and clean. The check-in and checkout procedure was easy and the guide with directions and questions was very organized and informative. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely vacation spot in the mountains!

Just like home!
My only regret is that we didn't have longer. This is an awesome, homey, comfortable property. Everything was well beyond our expectations! Thank you for sharing this wonderful home!

Perfect family getaway
The property was all that we expected and more. There wasn't a ton of snow left on the ground, but there was enough for our desert dweller kids to sled on and build a snowman with. The property had plenty of snow toys to choose from. Our daughter absolutely loved the zipline. Despite the cold temperatures, our kids ended up spending most of their days outside.
My husband and I loved that we could walk out the door to trails. It was a little muddy in some places, so we took walks along the well maintained road. We also loved the wood stove.
The kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchens we've come across in our rentals. All of the utensils, pots, and pans that we needed were available. The beds we're comfortable and our kids adored the loft space.
The owner was responsive and friendly. We are looking forward to visiting again sometime in the near future.
