The place was an absolutely beautifully scenic place to rest. The home had very comfortable beds and beautiful antique furniture with a gorgeous backyard view of a quaint pond with boat on site and gazebo seating. There's so many spots options for uses for this rental space and venue but even if you just visit the area it wonderfully affordable. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

visiting grandad

this was our second time staying at the farm. we enjoyed our stay; we brought our three-year-old granddaughter, and she had a great time feeding the chickens and ducks and petting the horses. very relaxing.

Nice stay but lots of clutter

The owner was nice, check in and out was easy. There was a few odd and ends that were left that we took advantage of. The fresh eggs were certainly nice! The uncomfortable aspect was the clutter of the space. It felt a bit like we were staying in her storage closet. Most of the surface space in the dinning room and kitchen was consumed by glassware, the closet in the bedroom was full of stuff as were all but two drawers. We really just didn't have any space we could dedicate to our few things. It was also disappointing that we had to unload someone else's dishes and the clothes from the dryer in order to use the machines. Perhaps this is more of a summer place rather than a winter place and the owner clears out the clutter in the warmer months. The property was nice and the outside environment very peaceful and picturesque.

Best host ever.

Elizabeth was absolutely amazing, she was kind and generous to my children. Unbelievably generous, the fridge was full of fresh eggs from her chickens upon arrival, and she even extended a free late check out! The property is beautiful, and though the pictures of the place is great, it does no justice. The night sky is filled with stars, and with no real light pollution you're able to look up and see shooting stars trailing through the sky and disappearing into the horizon. We can't thank Elizabeth enough for cultivating not only a beautiful space, but some where we felt safe!

Beautiful place for a vacation

We came for a family vacation. The house was clean and had everything needed for your stay. The outside area was very nice and open, the owner was very kind, attentive, and helped answer any questions we had. We had a wonderful time!

Carriage House

This was our second stay at the Carriage House. The fresh eggs were wonderful again. The property was clean. A few things could be improved upon: 1) The property was cluttered with too much 'stuff' last year and this year it is even more cluttered with paraphernalia. There is too much furniture in the dining room to the point that you can't move around. 2) Two of the primary outlets aren't functional. One is the TV outlet in the dining room and the second, more important, was the washer/dryer in the foyer. 3) The lack of a key to secure the house was disconcerting. We were careful not to lock the house when we left...but we accidentally locked it when we checked out.

Delightful Getaway

We had a great stay! The house is in a beautiful location, and the grounds are lovely. The Carriage House is incredibly well stocked with whatever you might need. We loved our morning visits from Hamilton the Rooster! Elizabeth is a great host who very kindly mailed me back an item I left behind.

Great Stay with a Lovely Host

The Carriage House was a great home base for a mountain weekend! Just about a half hour to Hunter Mountain, it was a perfect amount of space for the three of us. The house was well stocked with supplies and stayed warm despite it being so cold. Elizabeth went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay.

Amazing Weekend upstate

Elizabeth was the best host--leaving us fresh eggs from her chickens, and giving us tips on nearby hikes. We so enjoyed spending time on the property and getting to meet the chickens, roosters, horses and Elizabeth's dog, Rex. We can't wait to come back!

A weekend Getaway

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pine Ridge Farm for a weekend. We loved it. The place is easy to get to. Elizabeth was kind enough to leave a balloon, wine, candles, and birthday napkins for us. She left fresh eggs for us in the fridge as well. On our last day, we spoke with her and learned so much about her. She is really interesting and the ideas she has for her property is amazing too. We got to take pictures with her horses, which we loved! And my boyfriend got to pick out some eggs and feed the chickens too. If you love nature and some farm experience, you will not be disappointed with this place. The only thing for me was that it was a little cluttered because there were a lot of things outside. But that's just me because I like less. And I'm also claustrophobic! One of the great things were that there is a heating vent thing in the bathroom. Just like there is ventilation, there is a button for heat and I loved that. Because it was right where you stand in front of the sink so it felt cozy there, especially when you get out of the shower. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we would go back again.

September retreat

This was a wonderful country experience. The grounds are beautiful and from the outdoor seating can see a beautiful lakes with ducks and geese. Elizabeth is fascinating as a host. She gave us several dozen eggs from her coup, and also brought a carafe of homemade wine from a local restaurant. Only issue is that there is no bathroom on the second floor of carriage house, which is where one of the bedrooms is. Overall a great experience!!

Wonderful!!

First let me say Elizabeth is the best. When we arrived she was right there to greet us. Gave the grand tour of the property and of course said we could help ourselves to it all. We got complementary wine and she gave us some fresh eggs from her chickens. Although the host stays next door she did not bother us at all. So much land around my step son couldn't get enough. Horses, turtles, snakes and roosters to name a few were up close n personal. We took lots of pictures lol. The home is tight n cozy for a small family with plenty amenities. Great stay, great host, great time.

Dream family vacation at Pine Ridge Carriage House

Our family had a great time at the Carriage House and we are so happy to find this place. The property is amazing; the scenery, pristine nature, wild and farms animals, the grill and outside setting, the fire pit, the stars in the sky. The tap water is like spring water tastes so fresh and better than any bottled water. Not to mention the taste of fresh eggs. It was beyond expectations. The owner is extremely helpful, resourceful and very generous, the house very clean and well stocked. Very private as well. Activities were plenty in the area within half hour to an hour drive. We would definetely come back.

Great place for vacation escape

It's a cliche to say that this is a beautiful place, but it really is. Spacious house, outstanding view and a lot of fresh air. Our kids was amazed by the amount of animals around. We saw a bunch of deer coming close every day, kids rode a horse and be allowed to brush and feed it, Elizabeth let them even pick some eggs from the chicken coop. The property is huge so you have more than enough place to hike, walk and play. Elizabeth is a warm, friendly person and you can fill there like at home. We highly recommend this place and would like to return next year.
