Hotel is comfortable the breakfast is fine but the location is a off the beaten path. the traffic is heavy because they are building the railway nearby . You need to take the local bus which is crowded or a taxi which is had to come by. Wifi is pretty bad

I like the front of the hotel is calm, easy for taxi parking. I don't like hotel room cloths: pillow covers, bed sheet cover. comforter smelt smoke! Carpet are stained! Floor is not swift well!

Hotel is in a deserted shopping mall and in an industrial are, no small restaurants or no small shops VERY INDUSTRIAL and nothing around, looks like a building site

stay here only if you speak chinese
First of all when I tried to check in, it was a nightmare as no one spoke a word of English. Then upon reaching the room, it was full of cigarette smoke smell. Did not bother changing room due to language barrier. Finally at the end of my trip I had kept a day free for me to catch up on emails and write reports etc. That day the internet went down. When I asked them they kept on saying it is telecom provider issue but then the internet a cafe next door was fine. I sat at the cafe next doors almost 6 hours to do my work. Late in the evening they realised that the problem was in-house and it was fixed in 5 mins. Would not recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel, staff very friendly
The hotel is good and has bus to Canton Fair. The only bad is the gym not inside the hotel. Has to walk quite a distance and difficult to locate.

Nice hotel that checked most boxes
The Hotel is comfortable and rooms are very large. Friendly service. Location is not so near to shopping, restaurants..so be prepared to travel about 15 mins by taxi, which is easily accessible and costs about 15-20 RMB. Breakfast is just ok and needs to cater more for Western guests as that seems to be about 50 % of their market. If you are a non smoker try to ensure that you get a non-smoking room (if possible).. Stipulate it !

Only good for work in local area. Not for tourists
The hotel is located in the fabric district far from the main city. The breakfast does not cater much for western tastes amd is generally of a poor quality. The rooms are huge. Staff can't communicate in English.

Good value for money and clean
For what was paid, the room was large enough, clean and nice enough to enjoy our small break. Area was not busy which was probably because of Chinese New Year.

The hotel itself is wonderful with spacious and clean guest room, EXCELLENT breakfast, and friendly staff members. The surrounding area does not have many restaurants, is far from shopping area, bus lines, and subway entrances. Overall, it was a very good stay. I had no complaints about the hotel. But next time I will pick a hotel in a busier area of the city.

Amenities come with the price, but were good. Good buffet breakfast with good choice. Front desk doesn't have a proper Q system and if we wait behind the line, someone else walks through and goes behind the person being served. Front desk persons although very professional and pleasant are hesitant to serve non-Chinese customers and avoid facial contact to summon us even if all 4 counter staff are free. Perhaps its a comfort lever in language issue. All the bell boys, cleaning crew and other staff are extremely courteous and greeting everyone all the time. OVERALL a good hotel.

China Hotel Standard
It is not a western hotel by any means. This hotel is a China hotel to meet the standards of Chinese people. The room was big but it wasn't clean. The bed was rock hard and the towels didn't dry you they moved the water around. I wont be back.

The local police came banging on my door at midnight demanding to see my passport, to verify I was the registered person in the room. I am told this is not unusual in China. I'll stay next time, at a more recognizable international brand hotel, where this kind of disturbance is less likely to happen.

Communication breakdown
During our stay, we found it extremely difficult to communicate with the staff. Our holiday was a nightmare! The staff could not help us due to language barrier. They humiliated us because of our COLOUR. After we checked out, the manager and her staff accused us for stealing the iPhone charger. They emberassed us in front of other guests. They finally found out that the charger was not given to us. I will never recommend this hotel to my ENEMY!

Two weeks at the Pearl River Hotel
The hotel was nice, Staff was friendly, not many staff spoke English but they tried to help as much as they could. The area would have been good for anyone in the textile or fashion industries. But a little out of the way for a tourist.

Great location for the Fabric Markets
I have stayed here twice and like this hotel for its close location the the Fabric and Textile markets. The hotel is located in the middle of the markets and is about 15 minutes walk to the main Fabric and Accessories Centre. I have stayed at other hotels slightly further away and found it extremely difficult to get a taxi into or out of this area because of the insane market traffic. This place is ideal because you can walk or catch a crazy motorbike if you dare :) The rooms are a good size and nice and clean. The area is dead at night time and there are not many places to eat near by. The restaurant in the hotel has an ok western menu as well as other menus and there is a Mc Donalds next door if you get desperate. Most of the hotel staff have ok English although sometimes I struggled but no more than other places in China. Its about a hour to the GZ airport and maybe 20 mins in good traffic to the train station.

If you cannot speak Mandarin then this hotel is probably not for you. Staff find it difficult to communicate with English speaking customers. Food is predominantly Chinese with very little international selection. Lifts to the rooms are a nightmare. There are not enough lifts so it takes a long time to get from room to lobby or lobby to ground floor exit. Trying to get a Taxi back to the hotel is a nightmare as taxi drivers in general have not heard of the hotel or haven't a clue where it resides. On a positive note rooms are clean but that's all that can be said.
