The Family Cabin at Big Rock Creek gives you that "up North" feeling whenever you visit. The log siding and old school vibe is something that is hard to describe, but a true feeling you get upon arrival. Recently updated with Granite countertops, cabinetry, new appliances and fiber internet gives you 2022 accomodations. The back porch overlooking Big Rock lake allows for panoramic views of the entire property and are great spots to enjoy morning coffee or an afternoon adult beverage. The massive concrete firepit just outside your door next to the gas grill are great spots for night time stories or just a fun spot to hang and listen to the crackling fire! If your visiting in the winter there is no better spot to wait out a snow storm than inside the family cabin in front of the fireplace. We supply plenty of wood to make sure your toasty warm and our property is connected to the Gandy Dancer so bring your snowmobile, enjoy our private trails and also hit the Gandy.

The grounds the cabin sits on are just as big a part of the story as the cabin itself. Big Rock Creek is truly an outdoor playground. Originally settled by the Siems brothers back in the late 1800's as a Trout hatchery and Gentlemens club, Big Rock Creek is one of a kind! To imagine this place is only 45 minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul is truly remarkable. Big Rock Creek is now 980 acres of Wisconsin paradise. While your here you will have access to the private lake filled with Brown, Brook and Rainbow Trout! (Fly fishing only, dont worry we have rods and flys to rent). If your into hiking or biking, we have 26 miles of hiking and biking trails to explore, bring your bikes for sure! If less work is more your speed, you can certainly rent one of our Electric Polaris Ranger side by sides for the day or the duration of your stay! You get free access to our canoes, paddleboards, kayaks and paddleboats and can use any of the docks around the lake as well.

Not that you would ever need to go off property at Big Rock Creek, however, if you feel the need the St Croix River is just down the road and across the street. We do offer a pontoon that you can rent and use on the St. Croix during your stay as well. Our favorite restaurant close by is the Dalles House and of course Wild Mountain and Trollhaugen ski hills are less than 10 miles away, they also offer summertime activities. If your into wine, Chateau St. Croix is just a bit north of us on 87 and offers tours and wine tastings daily. Last but not least, dont forget if the kids need candy or an ice cream cone to stop and see Shannon at Valley Sweets!
