We loved our stay! The room felt more like home than a hotel; it was spacious and comfortable, and there were all the amenities we expected. The water pressure was good, and it was so nice to have our morning coffee looking out over the river. The staff were very helpful and accommodating (laundry on short notice, and a cot for our toddler), and the restaurant was excellent. I'd happily come back to Inverness just to stay here again!

This was our third time at Glen Mhor so needless to say we enjoy staying at this hotel. Brought five friends this time who enjoyed it too. Delighted to see the renovations; rooms and bar/ dining areas modernized but retaining comfortable elegance. What brings us back: the large comfortable rooms; the in house dining; location and views on the river; easy parking; and walking to high street. On the downside: No elevators to easily reach higher floors so either request a lower room or ask for help with your luggage. The receptionist on checkin didn’t offer help but someone later told us we should have asked, so we struggled needlessly.

2nd time staying at Glenn Mhor. It is a quiet and convenient hotel, away from the restaurants and pubs. There was no hot water in the morning we left, but it was understandable as I work in a hotel

The hotel is beautiful with a lot of character! The staff were ALL friendly, welcoming and helpful. The area in which the hotel is located is gorgeous. The restaurant has vegetarian options (which are delicious). I would highly recommend staying at this inviting hotel.

Nice wee hotel not far from city centre
Nicely presented hotel not far from the centre of the city. The facilities seemed to be a little tired/flimsy (eg the tv review was held together by making tape, and the vanity mirror felt like it was going to tumble off the small desk), but overall were satisfactory. The decor was pleasing and in keeping with the local area. The large bed we later found out was two singles put together - which is always disappointing. The room was however very clean and well presented overall. I would have liked a bath instead of a shower, but that’s just personal preference!

It is standard in most hotels.I will pass this on to maintenance to have a look at those issues and get those resolved. This property is in a great location for the city centre and walkable for bars, restaurants and shopping. It has a great restaurant and bar area on site that serves its own brewed beers. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The Glen Mhor, no longer a destination HOTEL
I've stayed at the Glen Mhor many times but its standards have continually slipped. I only stayed this time because they were slightly more than the Premier Inn and at least here the food is good. Well, was good. It seems all their money has been ploughed into the distillery & brewery and the owners have forgotten that they are FIRST AND FOREMOST a hotel. Breakfast used to be a to-order affair. Now it's a sad buffet over ban maries. Soggy yuk and no, that was not Stornoway black pudding - once tasted (the og) never forgotten. If you do intend to stay here, book your breakfast as part of your package otherwise you'll be overpaying for a dismall buffet, then you can do as I did my other 2 days and paid extra for something made to order. And then there's the room. I was travelling for work so a workspace would be nice but the lighting is insufficient and a tub seat doesn't work at a dressing table. I wound up working in the Tap Room so I could sit at a table on a chair, well, bar stool. Back to the room: frayed carpets, iron scorched carpet - they hadn't changed the iron and it was only when I TRIED to iron that I realised. I stayed 3 nights & twice asked for a replacement. None came and it was still sat at the reception when I checked out. The ironing board cover was badly stained - use a clean towel, I did with MY travel iron (size of a slice of bread meant for emergencies). The shower floods the floor and don't expect housekeeping to remove your glasses from last night.

Vey poor breakfast
Nice hotel nice rooms, friendly staff, avoid paying for breakfast seriously not worth it, cold toast, cold food, standard of food is terrible, they serve a small cup of coffee then you have to chase them about if you require more, will stay here again just not to eat.

It's a bit confusing with all the separate buildings. Warning, no lift in our building, lucky we only had 1 flight of stairs to get our luggage up. We are American and traveled with big and heavy suitcases... The restaurant was good and we ate there several times. Lots of shopping, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The room size was good, however the bathroom was small, tiny shower. I know this is the norm in most European hotels, however it's the second smallest shower I've come across in my travels. I will stay here if I get back to Inverness again.

The property was along the river so great views.The hotel is older but it’s clean. We stayed at the top floor and they didn’t have elevators so plan ahead as it was hard to bring luggage’s all the way up.There is a nice distillery in the hotel with friendly staff.

Booked a deluxe double room with river view. When i arrived no heating or hot water, reported to reception who told me it will come on eventually. It didnt. I went out came back they had put a heater in my room. Gratefully reveived. On the saturday i came back to a cold room again, and a note saying i was being moved to a different room. I understand this was totally out of their control. Was taken to a room with a window at the back and really small. Felt very claustrophobic so declined the room. The reception then booked me another hotel to go stay in. It was the Mercure down the road. It was ok but not what i had envisaged. My room was right above the bin area and there was a pub on the corner. At closing time the patrons were screaming and shouting and swearing, this went on till 2am!!!!! One of the reasons to go to the glen mhor was the peace and quite. I have been offered a 20% discount on my bill. Ive sent my response 3 days ago, still waiting to hear back.
