Everything is good, I was expecting a bath tub based on the photo, but it did not. Everyday without fail (I stay wed to Sat), around 5 plus to 6 plus morning, there will be some music playing non stop. It actually affect my sleep. Breakfast is average, not everyday is buffet style, but the waiter at the restaurant is friendly.

Free onsite parking , need to validate at reception before exiting it , breakfast was ok with limited choice , given the price I paid for , can't expect more than the ususal I paid for more expensive hotel

Plug not working, none of our phone got charged for the whole night. Booked a room for 3 through expedia, ended up the room did not come with extra bed. Asked the hotel staff about it and she wanted us to feedback through Expedia so they could proceed with the refund of the price difference between room for 2 and room for 3. Did contact the customer service of Expedia and they were just passing the buck. Generally a very bad experience, will not book the same property again.

i like the cleanliness of this property and i don`t like the under ground parking because no lift to the lobby. To carry bags and other luggage it trouble sum.

An okay place
It was a decent place for the price paid. Rooms were clean and well-maintained. Breakfast buffet variety could be improved. Location is quite near to paradigm mall and not too far from sutera mall. 7/11 and indian muslim restaurant in walking distance. Nothing much to complain about. But would be good if the upkeep of the pool and gym was done better.

Poor choice
Hotel old and tucked away approx 1km from Sutera mall. Need to take cab to get there. Room clean but toilet seat not aligned to toilet bowl. Shower room door not able to fully open, only tiny bottle of shower gel n shampoo provided for 2 and no toothbrushes provided!

The property is old need some upkeep. Amenities such as toothbrush is not available, maybe should alert guest.

it's located in a relatively old neighbourhood in JB. If you are looking for good local food within walking distance. This is definitely the hotel for you. However, if you are looking for a hotel next to a shopping mall. You might be years too late. With the price offered by the hotel, you really cannot expect much. The staff is helpful and friendly. However, there are some rooms for improvement in terms of the facilities management area. Aircon is not old at all even if the controller is showing that it is runnning at 16 degree.

HAUNTED HOTEL!!!!
Junior SUITE Room. Checked in late night close to 12. Was told by reception to wait as he needs to check whether the room is clean or not. Upon checking in, room looks awfully unpleasant, seems like the room has not been occupied for awhile with a heavy stench smell. NEVER NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL. NOT even close to 1 star hotel. Bed was really hard/ Stuffy Room / Weird Stench / Checking in too long / Awful breakfast / Carpark was not properly lighted.

bad service. Have to send our own luggage to the room. Cannot have extra pillow or blanket. Slow check-in. Breakfast buffet doesnt have many option. Showers in pool is not working. Locked gym.

Good view to UTM at 13th floor. Faced a bit problem hotels.com cause the confirmation slip from hotels.com confirmation number is not the same as booking number at Goodhope hotel. Before go better call up and reconfirm and get appropriate confirmation number at Goodhope hotel.

Average hotel
Breakfast was adequate. Room is comfortable and clean. Facilities not so good. Swimming pool water is greenish. Spa has been dismantled but at least jacuuzi is still operative. All wall plugs are spoilt. Used the plug meant for fridge to charge my electronics. Exhaust fan at shower non operative. Limited parking space. Lower ground parking at basement has no lights. Very dark to the extend we need to use torch lights even during daytime.

No frills hotel only for a short stay
I stayed with my wife and 1-year-old two nights as we were in Johor house-hunting and there was a special offer via AirAsia/Expedia. TV reception was very poor and the temperature controller on the fridge was broken. On the 2nd evening, the desk lights and side room light stopped working. After a long day house-hunting, I reported this to the Front Desk when we returned at 8.30pm and they casually said they would send someone as soon as possible. When I asked when abouts, they claimed the maintenance person was probably already on their way. He showed up 30 minutes later and spent 15 minutes trouble-shooting then went off without saying anything but left the ladder in the room. Another 30 minutes later, as we were trying to put our daughter to bed, the Front Desk called and instructed us to change rooms. My wife was very upset by being told rather than asked and so we said this was unacceptable. Another 30 minutes later, the maintenance person returned and changed 2 lightbulbs in under 10 minutes. As it was now after 10pm, I told him not to worry about the other things as we wanted put our daughter to bed and get some rest as we had another long busy day ahead. The maintenance person was polite and respectful. On checking out the next morning, I spoke to the duty manager who was apologetic and said they would take action to make sure this didn't happen again. He sent an email repeating this but no compensation was offered whatsoever. Not impressed.

Enjoyed our stay apart from your wifi service was pretty poor owing to the fact that I paid for the service.We were only allowed to connect in our room and not anywhere in the hotel complex.Need to also allow to connect to computer and mobile.Beautiful Breakfast and great staff.Very helpful.
