Location, Location, Location. You only live once. Spend your vacation in the exclusive Hollywood Riviera neighborhood of South Redondo in Torrance Beach, and just blocks from Palos Verdes.

This is a very private and comfortable house in a quiet and tranquil setting with sweeping whitewater ocean views, spanning all the way from Palos Verdes to Malibu, with a total of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with a beautifully appointed living room and fireplace with reclining couch, including an extra bed and futon in the bonus room, converted from the garage. There are 5 flat screens with Apple TV and Netflix, not to mention the expansive deck with hammock and lounge areas.

Nestled right up on top of Torrance Beach, in the heart of Redondo, the house boasts incredible views of the surf, peer, harbor, marina & mountains, as well as downtown Los Angeles, with breath taking city lights in the evenings.

This house is extra cozy & comfortable, and has been professionally decorated inside and out, with beautiful gardens, antiques and furnishings.

Enjoy the breath taking white sand beaches just down below, with Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and LAX just a very short drive away.

Just a couple of minutes from the beach, we are also close to movie theaters and Redondo's famed Kings Harbor, for drinks, appetizers, & more, with breath taking walks, boats & fishing.

Just minutes from the best restaurants, bars, boutique stores & the Del Amo and Palos Verdes Peninsula world class shopping centers.

The Mold, The Cold, and The Untold
The Mold: Chronic leaky roof (see “Terrible” review Jan 14/24). Blue tarp on arrival. No disclosure at booking or check-in. Rain resulted in water entering the kitchen ceiling, floor, and walls. Despite Ben’s assurance, no one arrived to “fix the tarp”. With repeated water damage since January, there is certainly mold throughout. No evidence of restoration and a strong musty smell. Unfortunately, VRBO doesn't allow the posting of pics/videos. The Cold: 60 degrees on arrival. The thermostat is basic. Despite cycling repeatedly, no heat until day 2. Had to repeat this process during our stay. Ben blamed us, presuming we couldn’t operate a thermostat. I sent pictures with heat on and temp set to 72. He doubled down with the ridiculous text “We do not heat the house for clients”. Heat is listed as one of the138 amenities and a beyond basic expectation. The Untold: Very nice view and location. Ben was initially pleasant. I suspect reviews are accurate when no issues arise. Rainwater leaking on a tarped roof is predictable if not expected. Ben took no accountability calling it an “act of god”. No compensation would be provided: “we have way too much overhead”. This should be based on the merits of the situation, not your finances. Astonished, I persisted leading him to call me rude, I was welcome to leave a bad review, and that he would talk to me online. Having used VRBO many times this is my first negative review. A truly mind boggling and disappointing experience.

Special family getaway
We had a wonderful time on our little getaway. Our three grown children were each able to have their own room. The house was so comfortable and had a lot of character. The neighborhood was fantastic. We enjoyed many walks, and the drive to the beach was only two minutes.

Rainwater falling heavily inside kitchen and bedrooms, other maintenance issues
Location great with distant ocean view. Owners respond promptly and try to address issues (kitchen fridge broken, toilet paper not due to arrive til 3 nights later, shampoo in only one bath, paper towel/detergent nearly gone, dishes not clean), asking us to be in house for refrigerator repair & electrician/dishwasher repair. We stayed only 4 of the 8 nights with severe roof leaks of rainwater into multiple rooms for 2 nights including bedrooms, water pouring out of kitchen cabinets, and puddles in back hall, causing a fall and injury while putting out pots/towels. They put tarps over part of the roof, which slowed kitchen leak, but made bedroom leaks worse. Water hit sleeping guests in bed. They spent night crammed on couch and armchair, with others waking to the smell of gas and stove igniter clicking continuously. With prior electrical issue still unfixed and more forecasted rain, we did not feel safe staying and asked for a full refund. After we checked out, he promptly refunded us 40% of the fee (we only stayed half the nights being rained on with inadequate supplies and broken kitchen utilities). He told us to contact VRBO for additional refund, but VRBO said they do not generally refund the VRBO fee. They asked us to email videos and photos, which we did, but they still have not responded. Property could be great after issues are fixed, but we are unhappy with VRBO policy to keep their fee even with a disaster rental that the owner has substantially refunded.

The owner and her son’s responses were very warm and welcoming! Rented this home for my relatives who were visiting. They enjoyed their stay at your home. They did mention that the shower water pressure was a little low and that one of the bathrooms did not have a window covering. The living room’s patio doors had a beautiful view Everything was well stocked for them! Thank you Simin and Ben!!

Amazing Location and Views
Great location, closet to the beach and amazing views from the deck. Watched the sunset every night! Spacious and accomadating. New linens and well equipped kitchen. A bit dusty, but assume that's because of where it's located on top of a hill with tremendous views. Thanks for a great stay!
