Staff very helpful, but i think overall very overpriced for what you get, i have stayed in better budget hotels.
Stayed in room 558 - king pitch suite costing £268 (no breakfast)
positives: it was my birthday & was left a lovely small plate with a strawberry & 2 tiny cakes, lovely view of the pitch, balcony, decorated nice especially if you like cricket, shampoo etc provided.
staff very welcoming, free parking.
Unfortunately alot more negatives - especially given the price: room not cleaned to a high standard, we had M&M's on the floor, quite dusty on pictures etc, no water in the room, they provide a fridge, yet do no put anything in, at that price i would expect from a hilton 2 bottles of water, i did ask for water & it was provided, but it felt like i was asking for a bottle of champagne in the room,
very unhappy with the bed, sold as a king size, absolutely is not, tat was the main reeson i booked this room for a king bed, also very firm, which is personal preference.
air con, well all i can say is rubbish, its not great, and then in the middle of the night on a few occasions sounded like a jet tacking off when it eventually kicks in.
Breakfast, i asked for poached eggs, which they cooked perfect, but where awful as cooked in so much vinegar that is all you could taste, was great they accommodated this & would of been great if they eased of the vinegar.
although we had a balcony, no chairs so couldn't use it.
flannels in room had makeup on them overall disappointing
