「I am going to celebrate my husband's wedding. The hotel is cosy and unique, it has a nice restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast during our stay, and a small library bar where you can chill with friends. The room is spacious and warm, we love this hotel.」

「The venue was easily accessible from main road. Booking in was easy, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was good and service efficient. One criticism is the lack of a power point in the room to charge phones or laptops. The only power points I could use were either in the rooms hallway or in the longe area.」

「The staff were outstanding. It could of been a 5 star hotel. The gent on recreation offered to carry bags. Advised on the local area. Asked how we were and about our day. There was even an Easter delivery to the room. Unexpected but very lovely. All the staff went above and beyond here. Thank you for the most pleasant and happy stay at a hotel in a very long time.」

「Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Ensuit was spacious. Unfortunately we found the shower to be very hot and didn’t know how to turn it down (it was turned all the way to the coldest option). But to be fair, we didn’t ask for any help with it, so it could have been a simple fix. We hadn’t really thought through staying above a pub. 「It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish. I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. 」

「Friendly staff and clean, spacious room. Not easy to walk there from the rail station. However, One can get there easily through a steel bridge (which was not shown in the map) linking it to the Freeman’s Quoy Centre at the Peninsula, near the Premier Inn Durham. 「浴缸花灑頭岀水太少，不足以淋浴。廁所出口有滲水情況嚴重。職員有發現狀況，但沒有即時按排換房服務。反而留言給我避免使用企缸。叫客人接受滲漏情況直至離開酒店。完全沒有考慮到客人需要及服務質素極差劣。需要經過投訴後才按排最後一晚才更換房間。」

The worst hotel stay in the entire trip

"Extremely poor service and stay. We were given a smaller room than we had asked for (images do not match the actual state of the room), and the air conditioner is broken; we were provided with fans but we do not have proper ventilation in our room, causing the room to be very hot and stuffy, and after taking a shower the room becomes very damp. Television does not work, and the fans aren't very good. There are also insect stains on the bedding. Service is misleading, we were told that our check out was at noon however we were urged to leave as soon as 11am came by, asking to charge us for overstaying in the hotel. Our belongings were held at the lobby as well because of this, and the staff were reluctant to return our belongings. Extremely disappointed at the service and conditions of the hotel, will not recommend it to anyone."
