This was my 4th, and last, stay at was the Wagner. I thought it was extremely tacky to charge me the resort fee every day when the gym, restaurant, and room service was closed. They told me it was for the Newspaper (Do people still read them?) the Phone (its 2020 we use cell phones) and wifi (it was horrid i just used my phone). I expected the $75/day parking but the resort fee was disappointing to say the least. It's not about the money, its the principle. I stayed in a suite, per usual, and spend a lot of money when I'm in the hotel. I won't be back after this.

Everything was very clean and nice. We were a bit disappointed the room did not have a refrigerator. Also, the toilet wouldn't fully flush. It was clogged and took 3-4 attempts to get anything to go down.

I travel to New York for work fairly often. I always stay here and everything is always excellent. My boyfriend and I had a dinner to go to in TriBeCa Friday night so I thought we’d stay here. There were no water bottles in our (very small) room. In the morning upon checkout, the man at the front desk got into an argument with us about the amenity fee which I was already charged by Expedia. And then charged again upon checkout. When asked what the fee was even for, he replied “for the waters and the WiFi” even though there were no waters. And the WiFi didn’t work. The only redeeming qualities this hotel has is the doormen and the bartender.

Nice staffs that would send message to see if there is anything we need and would respond to it right away. We greatly appreciate it! Also, we do enjoy the view from our rooms! :D the only piece of advice might be better instruction on the top floor. The terrace is very nice! It was unlocked and the sign says the terrace closes at 10pm so we stepped out to view beautiful sunset while we were exploring the amenities. And it wasn’t a very pleasant experience to be asked to leave and be accompanied all the way to the elevator — understandable, yet should have been avoided for a better overall experience. In general, we enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for having us :D

Room was really clean and BIG. There were 4 of us with three large suitcases and had extra room. You won’t find that in many hotels in NYC. Bathroom was very nice and toilet had a separate door (another nice touch). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Really close to the green subway line (5min). Not as close to the red (12 min). Unless you are planning to spend most of your time Central Park or north of that I wouldn’t consider anywhere else. Rate was very good considering how nice this hotel is.

View of the Statue of Liberty was pretty cool. They had a telescope on a tripod in the room. Room was great, bedding not as posh as it could have been. Tried to get a late checkout during checkin and i was only given an hour but when housekeeping came knocking on the door, she was rather rude.
