I'll stay at the hotel again
Service is superb, and room is clean. Gym is well functional. Breakfast is like a fest. Hotel is located in City center, closed to shopping district. and metro/bus station are few steps away. Responds are efficient with maintenance team, and housekeeping when I called. Only two parts won't get a 10 out of 10 points from my opinion: Lobby Bar: service 8/10, cocktails 6/10 Palmen restaurant: service 7/10, meals 5/10

I think I was expecting more from the Grand Hotel. I found our other hotels in Oslo to have better rooms, breakfast, and amenities for cheaper. Hotel Bristol was much better.

The good location and good personals. The receptionist and restaurant and bar staff are very professional,kind and helpful. The room was good and clean but after the first day ,they didn’t clean properly. The swimming pool wasn’t open in Christmas time and even the first day was open ,had got problem and they did repair and was close.

The hotel is very pleasant inside as well as outside. The doors of the hotel-rooms reminded me of the doors of a similar luxury Hotel in Lake Louise Canada. It is clean and the service personell are friendly and relaxed. We traveled with a cat and were assigned a special room for that that instead of carpeting has a pleasant clean wooden floor. If I have any complaints, it was that the plumbing of our bathroom needed to be fixed. Otherwise, since this probably was just an occasional error, we strongly recommend this hotel. Location could not be better right in the center of Oslo between the Royal Palace and the Parliament buildings with the shopping right around the corner. If you go for New Years Eve remember that everything is closed on New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Well maintained historic building. Employees are very professional and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms I saw have only showers - no bath. One has to walk a short stairs up to access elevators from the lobby, making it difficult for elderlies or for people with heavy bags. Hallways also have random stairs. Usually there is no bellman in the lobby, and it can be a hassle to open the heavy entrance doors. The front entrance would benefit from a redesign to limit cold air draft in the bar.

Bestilte luksus værelse, indretning absolut fin nok. Men vinduer i værelset vendte ind mod en gård, og var piv-utætte. Det trak ind !, så vi måtte have gardinerne for - hele tiden. En fotostat af en udsigt ville have været bedre! Umuligt at varme værelset up, selvom vi satte termostat til maks. Original badeværelsesdør malet over så mange gange, at døren kunne ikke lukkes !! Gangene på hotellet føltes snævre, og det var ikke nemt at finde ud af, hvor nødudgangene var, hvis en situation skulle have opstået. Morgenmaden var vi heller ikke imponerede af - de varme retter især var ikke særligt appetitlige. Der var intet sted på hotellet nogen håndsprit-flasker... Personalet virkede urutinerede og u-engagerede - fik at vide, at morgenmaden søndag var kl. 0630-1100, hun gentog det ! - og vi troppede op 0630 for at få at vide, at det skam først åbnede kl. 0700... Et gammelt hotel, som sikkert i tidernes morgen har været fantastisk. Men man er ikke lykkedes med at lave det moderne og bevare den gamle sjæl samtidig. Vi var skuffede!
