I received the confirmation from Hotels.com while my depart HK date on 19 Sept. As per this confirmation, Hotels.com told me that the booking was confirmed and no need to pay anything before check in. However, while my check-in at Lorraine, the hotel guy from the reception told me that my room reservation does not confirm which due to they can not get the approval code from my given credit card, so that they said that they have sent me a email and ask me to clarify the payment method. But after I shown to them my email inbox never receipt any email from them, then the guy clarified that the reconfirmation email was sent to Hotels.com instead to me. Unfortunately, your side Hotels.com doesn't discover that and sent me the confirmation still. Anyway, this hotel guy finally just able to provide me one night accommation (23-24 Sept) at their Hotel - Lorraine which due to fully book reason, thus, for the rest 4days / 3nights (24-27 Sept), we need to find another hotel else. So that, we have spent more than 1/2 day to find another accommation at 2 stations away and room rate was at $150 per night, so it costed a lost of mine at Euro$65 x 3 = Euro $195. Anyway, I will claim this via my inssurance.
