Royal George Hotel, Perth,
Standard double room. Clean tidy with everything you need for a short stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room looked onto the River Tay which was nice. Cooked breakfast was delicious. Location excellent. Log fire warming on a cold night.

Great time
Had a great stay room clean and comfy had a bath with shower over really need walk in but we managed will ask for one next time no lifts as we are in our seventies could have been a problem but on first floor staff offered to help with luggage Helen on breakfast was fabulous nothing was a bother we will be going again

Short stay in Perth
We had a lovely time at the royal George hotel, all staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was great. I would recommend this hotel

The location is excellent as a great deal of shopping and dining locations are only a short walk. Room was great except for the step down to step up to go to the toilet, somewhat hard to negotiate in the dark. The lady that took care of us at the breakfast was amazing and is a great example of how someone in the hospitality business should be, just wish I had asked her name so i could refer to that here. The buffet breakfast was also amazing, best we had in Scotland.

Unique cute hotel but terrible mattresses & pillow
Unique old hotel with a lot of charm. Very old building so parking lot is very small and no elevator. The mattress was probably the worst I’ve ever slept on. Felt like a box spring. Pillows terrible too. Food was good. Staff very friendly but they were a little short staffed.

Nice hotel
A nice hotel in a good location by the river. We had our dog with us and the hotel did everything it could to make us and our Saint Bernard happy, we liked to be able to eat with her by our side. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Next time we are in Perth we will stop again.

We checked in, dropped out bags in the room and immediately left to walk around city centre, enjoy a meal and do some sightseeing. Several enjoyable hours later, we returned to our room for a bath and a good night's sleep. We got neither. The bed and pillows were of the worst possible quality; one like concrete, the other like a case that had lost all its filling. I spent 15 minutes trying to find a comfortable position in which to lay, wadding up the dreadful pillow in hopes of adding some bulk. Decided on a hot bath, thinking it might help me sleep. No joy, ran the water for 15 minutes and could not even get tepid. Thought to check Expedia for other reviews (maybe we were in the wrong place, I hoped), no wi-fi in our room. Wandered back and forth, tripping over the carpet that had peeled back (beneath a window, likely got wet), a signal faded in and out but never held long enough to connect to anything. Repacked the few things we had unpacked, went into the hallway for a wifi signal, and made a reservation elsewhere. I travel a lot. This was among the worst experiences I've had with an otherwise well-reviewed hotel. Don't know if they over-booked and I got a room that should not have been rented, no idea, but never again.

Hotellet blev valgt på beliggenhed og håb om en god seng at sove i. Beliggenhed, morgenmad, lounges og service var fin. Men sengen var for gammel, hård og slidt. Der skal faktisk ikke meget til for at gøre hotellet rigtig godt. Nye madrasser vil fremkalde stor anerkendelse.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is one i would definitely recommend. Staff went out of their way to make our stay great. Beautifully situated by the river so that you can watch the world go by while enjoying your breakfast

wouldn't give it one star for customer service
phoned day before arrival to ask if ok to leave car in the car park as we would be arriving early and going straight out for the day, receptionist failed to mention tiny car park that would probably be full! We had to find a multi storey and pay for overnight parking and walk back. Also requested a ground floor or 1st floor room due to mobility issues - got given a room on 2nd floor with no lift. Was woken at 3am with smokers climbing out the landing window outside our bedroom window for a cheeky cig. Breakfast was only redeeming feature - exceptionally friendly staff and good range of food

Lovely hotel. Beautiful view of the River Tay. There is a small parking lot behind the hotel and we were able to get a space. The breakfast was very nice. Staff is friendly. The bartender will fix your drink just like you want it. Perfect British hotel experience! I recommend it!

Mittelmäßige bis gute Erfahrung. Hotelzimmer in die Jahre gekommen. Gutes WLAN. Gutes Frühstück. Schöner Garten nach vorn. Gute Lage im Zentrum. Der Parkplatz ist zwar kostenlos (im Hinterhof nur wenige Plätze verfügbar), aber sehr eng. Für das Gebotene und die Stadt Perth aber insgesamt zu teuer. „The Open“ wird bei der Preisfindung aber eine Rolle gespielt haben.
