The room was old school but nice and very spacious. Staff were very pleasant. There was no lobby bar and the only item of cooked breakfast, scrambled egg, ran out well before 10am.

If you are looking for a quiet and modern hotel, this is not it, but we were looking for a place in the heart of the Perugia shopping and dining areas and we got just that. Nothing fancy about this restored convent, but it was clean and the staff was friendly and we enjoyed some great meals in the nearby restaurant. We got a fair amount of street noise late into the night, but we even enjoyed that as part of the experience. They also offer discounted parking at a nearby parking garage if you have a vehicle.

The position of the hotel could not be better. You walk out into the pedestrian centre of the city and enjoy the beauty of the medieval setting immediately. Our room was small and dark with a tiny bathroom but everything worked. The excellent scrambled eggs were the only hot offering for breakfast but you could make yourself a pot of tea. There was a selection of baked goods offered with fruit and yogurt. The exterior of the hotel is medieval but the interior was changed decades ago and is rather tired. The restaurant in the courtyard is very atmospheric and has excellent food, we enjoyed the Umbrian specialties including truffles. We loved walking around Perugia, so much to enjoy, and this hotel is the perfect base because you don’t need a car.

Uno degli Alberghi storici di Perugia. Sicuramente molto datato. Prenotato all'ultimo momento prima del ponte del 25 aprile con pochissime disponibilità in tutti i dintorni. Il prezzo mi è sembrato piuttosto elevato (180 euro per una doppia con colazione) risentiva forsa del periodo di festa. La prima camera che ci hanno offerto aveva un pessimo odore di chiuso. Avevamo avvisato che avremmo avuto con noi il nostro cagnolino, e a pensar male potremmo crede che ci abbiano per questo riservato una camera meno "in ordine" delle altre. A seguito della nostra osservazione ci hanno trovato una nuova sistemazione. Una camera spaziosa, ma con un bagno decisamente piccolo (la porta di accesso sbatte contro il wc. La vasca da bagno ha un paraschizzi al quale mancava un'anta. Le piastrelle un po' sbreccate. Le foto di altre camere sul sito (sicuramente ad un altro prezzo) lasciavano sperare in qualcosa di meglio. Il problema non è l'hotel in se, ma il rapporto tra prezzo pagato e quanto offerto. Colazione discreta con buona selezione di dolci e pane fresco, di minor qualità per la parte salata. Personale disponibile.

Staff was very helpful with any questions we had and helping to get us taxis, etc. Beds were a little hard. Area that the hotel is in is excellent, it’s right in the historic center and walkable to all shops and restaurants and sites. Mini metro can be used to get to train station easily.

Personale molto disponibile, le camere molto pulite ma colazione non troppo abbondante soprattutto la parte salata. Nota dolente per materasso e cuscini troppo duri. Ma questo è un giudizio soggettivo. Forse un po' troppo 22 di parcheggio x un giorno e mezzo di permanenza.
