Spacious pet-friendly cottage with a field-stone, wood fireplace and large screened porch, perfect for entertaining. #338 is a two story home with western exposure and lovely sunset views over the lake. Along with a large eat-in kitchen and comfortable living room, this home has four bedrooms, all on the second floor. One bedroom has a queen bed, two bedrooms have two twins each, and the fourth bedroom has twin bunk beds. * Please note: this home does not have a TV.

This home boasts a level yard, a dock, and 100 feet of private shoreline and is a short walk to the sandy community beach. There is also a canoe included as well. This home is located just a short drive to downtown Meredith for dining and shopping.

Great September AVacation
Our family truly enjoyed our stay at "The Pines" in Meredith N.H. We will be back. Weather was very good as September can bring anything and everything. The house was spacious and my kids loved reading on the screen porch, having fires inside and outside @ night.... the stars at night were amazing. NO T.V. was GREAT. Never had NO TV @ a vacation property, it makes you take the time to do puzzles, read, sit down and un-wind, go on hikes with the dogs everyday, sometimes twice a day. The dock was huge and new, navigating the rocks is somewhat difficult at first, but we found safe passage for my boat after a day and that worked out fine. I have stayed on Winnipesaukee too many times to count going back to the Eighties, it was great to take my 2 daughters and our dogs to continue the tradition. Natural Retreats was a pleasure to deal with also. Thanks for assisting us in having an incredible week away from it all.

Nice house but not a quiet escape
The property was a pleasant classic lake house with a very nice screened in porch with a nice view of the lake. Our stay there was very comfortable. Although there is a dock, large rocks line the shoreline and make it very difficult to launch a kayak from shore (although, a small public launch site is available nearby). Nearby houses are close together (one was under construction two doors down during out stay, so there was the associated noise and power tools going on with that), the town of Meredith is about a mile or so away with the associated truck and motorcycle noises that goes with that which one can hear from the house. An active railway is on the west shore of the lake directly opposite the house and a train comes through at least twice a day with it's train horn that blows many times as it comes through (once at midnight, which woke me up). The house was nice and Natural Retreats was very responsive with small problems that I mentioned, but the overall experience wasn't the escape from modern civilization that I was hoping for.

Great spot, nice house
The house is in good condition, nice layout and size, good supplies in the kitchen, nice screen porch. A beautiful place to relax with a great dock. Nice sand lake floor, and the little beach a few doors down was nice. Some minor suggestions: A few painting projects to be completed including front door and upstairs bath. The key does not work properly, just spins. It would be nice to have an empty closet to use in the master. Upgrade window coverings. Some of the furniture is worn, especially the bureaus. Need a second paddle for the canoe.

Family vacation
We enjoyed the waterfront and the nearby private beach. Kitchen was large and well equipped. Plenty of outdoor chairs. Door to the screened porch is difficult to close and the lock on the kitchen door is difficult to work, but otherwise we were pleased with the rental.

spacious home with great views
My family stayed at this home in July 2021. It was certainly large enough for our family of 6 and small dog. Pro's were certainly the 4 bedrooms, large kitchen, 2 bathrooms, washer & dryer & back screened in porch. Dock was large but the jetski's took a pounding when the water was rough. Certainly not the owners fault but worth mentioning for future renters to know. Location to town was very convenient with a great view from the screened in back porch. At night you could look across the lake to see downtown Meredith all lit up. When we arrived the back porch door screen was ripped. I had read a review from last year's renter stating the same thing. Not sure if it was ever fixed or just prone to ripping because dogs are allowed? Overall we were very happy with the home and would rent here again.

Had shortcomings
This house worked for my family and dealing with Natural Retreats was great. I really liked having 4 bedrooms, large kitchen, a washer/dryer, and screened in porch. However there were several issues. Garbage barrels were overturned and not taken in from previous occupants. When I went to take them, in there was garbage still in, under, and around barrels. Natural Retreats was called and came to clean it up. There was large amounts of dog fur under chairs and furniture in kitchen and on screened porch. I swept/cleaned it up. There was mold on shower curtains which Natural Retreats came and changed for us. Screen on porch door was torn and had household tape keeping it attached. We had to re-tape it to keep bugs out. Shattered glass on kitchen door - which we knew about before arriving but the glass started falling out and we called Natural Retreats to remove and clean up. Couches were very old and worn looking. Especially the one on the porch. We put sheets over them before sitting on.

Relaxing on the Lake
We were very happy with this spacious house with a beautiful view of Meredith Bay! This property was perfect for 8 guests and our dog. A much needed vacation and a break from reality. The fishing was great and the neighbors were very nice. We would definitely rent this property again.
