This was the perfect bed and breakfast. We stayed in cabin 2, beach front and loved everything about it. It was always clean, every worker was extremely friendly and helpful. the food was fantastic (we are such picky eaters and they always accommodated our requests). 10/10 recommend staying here!

As soon as we drove onto Puerta Azul, I knew we were in paradise. Talia and Antonio pay such close attention to detail, this a truly amazing experience. From the cozy garden villas tucked into a tropical garden oasis, to the delicious daily breakfast of fresh fruit and local quizine. The clear turquoise and emerald waters are where we spent most of our time. The Palupa was a great retreat for our whole family. This B&B is right on the Mesoamerican barrier reef so access to it was easy. This place is absolutely incredible. I will be back!

Boom here - you’ll enjoy your stay! We stayed eight nights at Puerta Azul. Overall we had a lovely time. Some of the things we appreciated: the grounds were clean and tropical (with access to fresh organic mangoes!), it is right off the sandy beach (there’s a lot of turtle grass but we still saw starfish, lionfish, a nurse shark, box fish, etc.), it has a lovely photo op with the blue door (do it foe the gram!), there is a a neighborhood cat who came around and eased our being away from our fur babies (we named her Azulita), breakfast was served daily and was delicious, the neighbors are lovely (in fact, a flyfishing guide my husband charted with, lives literally next-door and had us over for dinner days after my husband finished his excursion), they have free kayaks you can take out for the day (my husband and I took one out to snorkel the reef and kayak all the way down to Anthony’s key - try it! it was such a good day!), and it’s not a far drive from West End or West Bay Beach. Things we were not expecting: there’s no door on the toilet (bring air freshener), the flyfishing was a little over advertised (maybe it was the weather??), the reef was a little farther than advertised as well (the kayaks help and/or worth it to get a guide to take you around to snorkel spots). Overall we would absolutely 100% stay here again - we just learned some things to pass along/for next time (but none were deal breakers).

I stayed at 3 different hotels while in Roatan, and this was the best. Beautiful, clean, peaceful place with nice staff. There was also a sweet kitty that hung out with me on my porch every day I was there. The only drawback about this place is it is not walkable to anything so I kind of felt stuck there. If you are ok with taking taxis everywhere or you have your own transportation, I recommend this place.

Es un lugar maravilloso hermoso encantador, los dueños muy amables, excelentes anfitriones, tienen unas cocineras que hacen una exquisita comida y la atención de ellas con excelencia te hacen sentir en casa, y todo el personal muy amables don Jaime bajo un coco y lo partió y me lo dio y bajó unos ricos mangos que mi esposo y yo disfrutamos frente al muelle de puerta azul, y don wilmer el siguiente dia nos bajó dos cocos para mi y mi esposo y lo partió y nos lo dió,Rosa cocina delicioso y yuliet nos atendió como reyes, wow nunca me habian echo sentir tan bien en un lugar como lo hizo el personal de puerta azul, y las dos señoritas de la recepción muy amables y pacientes,nos encantó tanto que el siguiente año llevarémos a mis suegros, mi mamá y mis hijas, tienen kayaks disponibles para los huéspedes, el muelle iluminado de noche es hermoso y seguro, las estrellas se ven hermosas, 1,000% recomendable, la habitación frente al mar es lo mejor y muy limpio

The service and food was wonderful. The staff was so helpful and the owners had great suggestions for restaurants while the restaurant was closed on Sunday. They set us up with a local dive shop that picked us up every morning at the property. The snorkeling was amazing and right off the dock. We had such a wonderful vacation here and would return again.

Absolutely amazing! The staff and owners were all amazing. They were able to help us book anything from a ride into town to a full day excursion. The food was some of the best we had on the island. We were able to snorkel, right of the dock and see some amazing things. Especially the Spooky Channel. Ihighly recommend the massage! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you for an amazing trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at Puerta Azul. The cottages are nestled into to tropical foliage which felt nicely secluded. The cottages are quaint and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were connected with a driver who took us to various places on the island. When we were not out and about we relaxed on the beach or floated off the dock. Highly recommend staying here.

Puerta Azul is a unique small and quiet hotel. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The food is delicious and it is prepared fresh every day. Our room was number 4 very close to the beach and was very clean and beautiful. The owners and all their staff specially Julie are very nice and courteous.
