The thermal poll was well kept and relaxing. The property is a bit dated, but well maintained, and the staff were helpful. A good value.

Better Options for the Price
Stayed in 'The Cottage' and it was quite ordinary. Everything looking worn. Hole in lounge suite. Settee on porch repaired with sticky tape. Sheets appeared clean enough, but the rest of the bedding - duvets & blankets - visible that all needed a good wash and smelt less than fresh. If I was paying a budget price I would expect budget accom, but expected better than this for the price we paid (around A$250 per night). It also appeared that some rooms at the motel are being long-term let to WINZ benefit recipients, which certainly didn't add to the ambience of the place.

Petit hotel tranquille, chambre bien chauffée et propre absolument conforme aux descriptions. Le grand spa avec bulles & eau chaude naturelle utilisable 24h/24 en privé est vraiment un plus . Je reviendrai sans hésiter !

Staff was excellent. Check in was easy. We used the laundry facilities while there and that was nice. Spacious room-the shower was super nice.

This motel is small but the room was a very good size with kitchenette and private bathroom. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The room was very clean and the young lady in the office is SUPER friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again nice place, good price. Only suggestion is if you stay during the colder months inquire on how to turn on the heater in the room. It took us a little while to figure out how to turn on the panel heater.

This motel is comfortable though requires a little bit of attention. For example the curtains are a bit worn at the base and the settee, due for replacement according to the owner, was looking very shabby. The bathroom was large and modern. The managers were very pleasant and helpful. It's a short drive to a supermarket and also to the city centre in the opposite direction.

Free Thermal bath and conveniently located.
Very helpful host. Walking distance to old St Faiths Anglican church and Te Papaiouru Marae and Kurau Park. For those who loves pies, especially mussel pies, Better Quality Pies is just down the road. After a day of sightseeing and walking, it was nice to soak in the free and very convenient thermal bath.

日本語のできるオーナーさんがいました。スタッフの方は英語でしたが、周辺の観光施設説について詳しく、またわからないことは問い合わせもしてくれ、丁寧でよかったです。洗濯機が共同のものしかなく、有料だったので、無料で部屋にあればなおよかったです。

Really great motel
Only had one night here but room 7 that we had was lovely. It was very clean with a really large comfy bed, you had everything you needed. It also had a private patio with a table and chairs. The thermal pool was great and you could lock the door so you were the only ones in there.

make sure you pay in advance as they charge 2% if you uses you credit card. thermal pool is just a 10 min walk up the road. city centre with the EAT STREET a must to visit

Jump straight into the spa!
Room was clean and spacious with car parking right outside. The spa was an unexpected bonus and we were right next to it. Receptionist was friendly. Local area was nice and we went into town for dinner which was an easy drive. There was a bit of a storm when we stayed but the noise was minimal.

Nice motel with friendly staff
Wonderful stay at Red Rock Motel. Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. If you mention some places you want to visit, they provide discount coupons and help you arrange shuttle/transportation if needed. Room was clean, updated bathroom, I enjoyed the private geothermally heated spa. Free park with many cool (I mean actually hot) features right across the street. Next to gas station and wine store, awesome pie and pastry place is nearby with great breakfast choices. Definitely recommended.

Pleasant Motel, close to Lake Rotorua.
Good access with adequate parking, close to hospital. Comfortable clean bed and room, Kitchenette well equipped. No restaurant. Thermal pool, under cover. Pleasant staff.

Get a room close to office if you want WiFi
Staff was nice and helpful. However, we had issues with the first room we were given. WiFi was spotty at best (we were in room 7). Curtains had holes, room had ants, no tissues in room, shower temp would fluctuate so that I had to jump out of stream of water. We got moved to bigger room closer to office. That improved our WiFi and no ants, but other room issues existed. For example the sliding front door would not slide without a lot of effort and the towel rack was not secure to wall. Staff did their best to accommodate us though.

Nice place with all of the amenities. Few of the things like bedside tables getting week used and therefore peeling. Towels plentiful and fluffy, and large, so hard to find in accommodation sometimes. Few ants crawling around but seems to be the time of year and weather as I have the same problem.

Comfortable family apartment
Dont judge a book by its cover. It looks and is an older motel but the rooms are more than comfortable. $5 for the owner to wash and dry a load of laundry. Close to Kuirua Park...and a 3 min drive into town. We haf a wifi problem but the owners quickly fixed the issue. Hot mineral Spa and thermal pool were fantastic and they had a trampoline too.

Comfy, tidy big room with simple kitchen
We were very lucky to book one night at Red Rock Thermal Motel during Easter holiday just two days two or three days before we arrived. The room is big enough for us, especially with one queen bed and two single bed. The bathroom is very clean and tidy. We just regretted not having more time to stay one or two more night.
