Room 9- decor was minimalist yet inviting. Loved the lighting fixtures and textiles. Bed/pillows were comfy. It was clean and spacious. Never figured out how to use the heater (it was January) but it stayed a nice comfortable temperature. Appreciated the nod to being earth friendly; bath amenities weren’t single use and they smelled great & glass drinking cups were available instead of plastic.
The spa was so lovely. We lit a fire, sat in the hot tub and stared up and the moon and stars. The next morning we had complimentary tea by the fireplace in the lobby. It was peaceful and relaxing.
The front desk staff was helpful and friendly but not over the top. My only complaint and it’s a big deal was the totally horrible service at the bar. We walked in around 8:30, not many patrons. The bartender was talking with people I assume were her friends. She gave a nasty look, didn’t say hello, didn’t offer a menu. So I ignored it, grabbed a menu and a seat at a table. She proceeded to talk to her friends & never came to ask if we needed anything. we thought maybe we had to order at the bar, so we went back up there and she was no where to be found. So we left. We stayed 2 nights but were so turned off by her that we didn’t go again.
We would stay again as we enjoyed the location and room. The vibe is just as they say “where fast lives slow down”.
