Good location, no palace!
Hotel is fine if you're on a budget, but don't let the name fool you! The room and bathroom are small, but that's to be expected. Dust fell from the ceiling of the lift as it rattled between floors making you glad it was only 3 stories to fall. The beds obviously have been in service a while and offer less lumber support than a water mattress. Came up on Expedia when I searched with a filter on free wifi, however, I found our when I checked in that in fact the wifi was not free and had a cost of €5 per day.

Room was clean and spacious, breakfast which was included had good selection and was well stocked. The location of the hotel served our purpose well - it was easy to access either the train or the bus.

Good Hotel but not near the train station
I liked this hotel because it was on a hill and I had a great view from my room and a balcony. It was however about a 20 minute walk including a large hill and small hill from the train station. Although if you're driving it's great because there is parking right outside and it's a quick 5 minute walk down to the water front. Great little town and nice if you just want to relax by the seaside. Also take the number 30 bus on the waterfront main street directly to Savona to catch your Costa Cruise. Very easy and inexpensive just get your bus ticket at any tobacco shop. Staff was nice but no maps which would have been useful.

the room was tiny, i could only get into the shower once the bathroom door was closed. we had to pay €15 per night for the air con which we were told to stop after 3 hours otherwise would start licking. The breakfast was terrible, tasteless and the choice was very restricted. Conclusion: this is an expensive hotel for what you get. Not at all happy.

This hotel was fabulous for us. All the staff were friendly & helpful, the room was clean, the beds/pillows were comfortable, breakfast was great & everything you need in the morning (bread, ham, cheese, croissants, cake, yoghurt, cereals, fruit, jams, juice, coffee), and only about 5 mins walk to the beach & 20 mins (power walk) to the train station, or 5 min cab ride. Had to pay for internet but you could purchase either E3 for 1 hr, E5 for 1 day or E10 for 24 hours over the space of a year, and we had no problems with the wifi at all while we were there. All in all we really enjoyed our stay, and would go back!

We enjoyed this hotel saff friendly and helpfull .Short walk to to beach rooms clean we were up graded to a balcony room with great veiws to the sea parking was good . just wish we spent more time there

pleasant room, with small balcony overlooking the sea. Set back about 3-4 minutes walk from the seafront but overlooking the buildings in front. We were staying one night only on route and found the hotel quite comfortable and would stay again. Breakfast fairly decent and polite/helpful staff. Parking on site restricted so first come/first served applies. No adverse comments apply.

Free parking available inside gated parking area was a bonus. Restaurant had good food although very pricey. Room was clean. Quad was a queen bed with bunk beds. Bunk beds were small for teens! Was good for our purpose which was lodging for one night prior to catching curise from Savona.

Camera e bagno molto piccoli per tre persone (due adulti+1adolescente) ma abbastanza puliti. Il parcheggio gratuito, viene garantito a chi soggiorna piu' di due notti, noi abbiamo dovuto fare Kilometri per trovarlo. Posizione Hotel comoda. Colazione sufficiente, poca scelta, non c'è la possibilità di avere un cappuccino dal bar, solo dalle macchinette .

Die Lage des Hotels ist schön und gut, etwas erhöht mit schönem Blick auf das Meer. Der Service war leider sehr enttäuschend, das Personal schlecht gelaunt (inkl. Fluchwörter wegen unserer Beschwerde als wir ein Raucherzimmer erhielten, trotz expliziter Buchung von Nichtraucherzimmer) und von den kostenlosen Parkplätze sind auch viel zu wenige vorhanden. Ebenfalls war keine Hilfe zu erwarten um einen geeigneten Parkplatz zu finden und so mussten wir unten im Städtchen auf einem teuren Parkplatz parkieren und hatten einen steilen Fussmarsch bis zurück zum Hotel. Das Zimmer war leider auch nicht sehr sauber. Leider gab es im Zimmer auch keine Minibar, was bei diesem heissen Wetter schade ist.

Garden Palace: dependance in via di restauro
Ho avuto modo di vedere solo la sala da pranzo del Palace, in quanto ci hanno assegnato una camera al Garden Palace, una sorta di dependance. È una struttura in via di restauro, esternamente molto bella, internamente si vede che ha bisogno di essere rimodernata. Tutto sommato ordinato e discreto, ritengo però che l'alloggio al Garden dovrebbe usufruire di una tariffa più bassa mancando alcuni servizi (es: aria condizionata ) e poiché alcune cose sono un po'datate... Bellissimo il giardino su cui si affaccia, un'oasi di ombra e tranquillità.

Nel complesso il soggiorno è stato positivo. Il punto debole dell'hotel è sicuramente la parte riguardante la colazione e la cena. Inconsistente la prima , ripetitiva e poco appetitosa la seconda. Consiglierei l' hotel per l'ambiente e il personale senza usufruire della colazione e del pranzo e cena

Diciamo che per un w-e con amici è accettabile, di più direi di no, almeno non per la tipologia di hotel che piace a me. La posizione è ottimale, cinque minuti a piedi e sei sul mare, però la struttura andrebbe rivista per non parlare della colazione.

- Es hatte keinen Parkplatz als wir kamen. Es musste jemand weg parkieren, nacher stand immer ein Auto hinter unserem. Wir konnten das Auto nie benutzen. - Es hatte keinen Garten. - Das Zimmer war etwa 10 Quadratmeter, lt. Buchung sollte es 17 haben,sie haben uns das Eckzimmer gegeben. - Es war nachts sehr laut und ringhörig.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene in questo hotel soprattutto perché avevamo solo due giorni, voglia di tranquille passeggiate e niente spiaggia. L'hotel e' in una zona lontana dal traffico dell'Aurelia ma in posizione molto comoda per muoversi. Il personale molto gentile ci ha accompagnato per il posto macchina in un cortile vicino. Colazione abbondante, tutto fresco. Due giorni di vero relax

Ho guardato le precedenti recensioni nel dettaglio solo dopo aver prenotato, e devo ammettere che sono partito con tanti dubbi e timori. Invece siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi nel constatare che le recensioni lette non corrispondevano affatto a quanto abbiamo trovato. Un albergo gradevole, disponibilità del personale, e che ha fatto di tutto per farci sentire a nostro agio. La camera e i servizi accettabili, non dimentichiamo che siamo in liguria e gli spazi sono sempre stati ristretti negli alberghi non di recente costruzione. L'aria condizionata disponibile. Un bel terrazzo. La colazione non è ricca come quelle di alta montagna, ma sufficiente, per chi sta al mare e vuole trascorrere le giornate in spiaggia fino dalle prime luci dell'alba. Il ristorante non lo abbiamo provato, anche perchè essendoci fermati solo due giorni abbiamo preferito cenare sul lungomare. Grazie ancora al personale dell'albergo, conserveremo un bel ricordo di una fuga veloce e romantica dalla città!... Siamo consapevoli che spesso dipende dalla fortuna per trovare certe condizioni, e che ognuno ha le sue percezioni, ma francamente non capisco come ci possano essere stati commenti così critici. Forse chi li ha fatti è abituato a frequentare alberghi da cinque stelle, allora il mio consiglio a questi "raffinati" è di continuare a prenotare presso quelle strutture e non presso strutture come questa ed aspettarsi lo stesso servizio.

Un albergo di postazione marittima, senza troppe pretese. camera pulita, bagno e box doccia OK. recentemente ristrutturato. Pochi spazi per il parcheggio dell'auto. Colazione OK: poche cose. l'indispensabile per avere qualcosa al mattino (succhi, caffè e cappuccino dalle macchinette). Insomma prezzo ottimo per una sosta di riposo durante un viaggio lungo. Ottimo per passare un breve vacanza di località marittima ad un prezzo vantaggioso. Grazie

Das Hotel Palace Varazze liegt am Hang im sehr idyllischen Örtchen Varazze, man erreicht den Strand, sowie einen kleinen Supermarkt in 5 min zu Fuß, gute Auswahl an Restaurants/ Bars in 10min zu Fuß. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr veraltet und sehr (!) hellhörig. Nachts wurde man duch das minutenlange Klingeln des Telefons an der Rezeption geweckt, morgens ab 7Uhr durch das laute Knallen sämtlicher Türen oder der Duschen der Nachbarn. Die Handtücher waren extrem dünn (kein Frottee o.ä.) und glichen eher Geschirrhandtüchern. Die Betten waren extrem durchgelegen. Im Treppenhaus stank es gewaltig nach Benzin, vermutlich von einem Stromgenerator. Klimaanlagen sind nur gegen Aufpreis von 15/Nacht zu nutzen. WLAN Zugang funktioniert nur teilweise und das Personal musste selbstständig immer wieder Kenn- und Passwort direkt am Gerät eingeben. Das Frühstücksbuffett war miserabel, sowohl von der Auswahl, als auch vom Geschmack (eine Sorte Käse: Schmelzkäse, eine Sorte Wurst etc.). Leider insgesamt enttäuschend.

Mi è stata assegnata una camera non condizionata, molto piccola. Purtroppo tutta la struttura non è insonorizzata. Gli schiamazzi notturni di un gruppo di ragazzi al terzo piano si sentono fino al primo piano. Se volete dormire durante la notte sconsiglio questo albergo. Sia l'arredo che le porte sono nuovissime... peccato che per chiudere le porte sia necessario sbatterle, quindi al mattino sarete svegliati dalle porte dei vicini.
