The room was very clean and comfortable, 5/5 for the property, although it’s far away from central. The only thing I’ve found terrible was the booking settings with a cancellation of my payment(for no reason), not confirmation of the booking and poor costumer support on e-mail or over phone to solve the situation. Overall, the room is great, the costumer service not much.

When you book through a travel agent, we have to follow their rules regarding your booking and all correspondence comes through them. Our hands are tied with how much we can do regarding bookings through Expedia unfortunately.

Great room, clean and really friendly and helpful staff. Free parking is available which was a huge plus being in the city. Would stay here again

The lady who helped me, Margaret, was so amazing and helpful. The hotel is great, the rooms is great, its superb value, and the service is superb. And the owner goes out of her way to help you. Me and Margaret do massively disagree on the key situation, and i firnly believe that two people in a room each deserve a key, as not all people sharing a room stay together 24/7, and thos can caise absolutelyhige inconveniences, but thats just my own personal opinion. I do think this hotel is outstanding, and i will be staying here many more times in futire. I have also recommended it to friends, who will use it on their trip to inverness. Thanks to Margaret and Staff for helping me have an awesome stay. You are simply brilliant!!

We had a lovely night here. Check in was friendly and easy, just a short stroll away. The only negative, as others have mentioned, was the footsteps from upstairs, and the smoking/drinking area right outside our room. Location was excellent for a walk into town for dinner and the bakery for breakfast.

No front desk at the location
The room was a bit small but clean. A little further to downtown Inverness that we expected. One negative was you have to go to a different location to get your room key , not very practical.

Convenient location, excellent rooms
Alban and Abbey House proved to be an excellent choice for two nights in Inverness. It is an easy walk from the centre of town, and has ample parking. The area is very quiet. The rooms are clean and extremely well-appointed, and everything worked as it should. Note that check in and key collection is at a different property a few blocks away.

Fabulous location!!! Great communication!!
Nice guest house!! Very helpful hosts especially when it came to the stupid electric car we rented!! So well located!!! Inverness so easy to walk to!! A fabulous bakery around the corner called The Bakery.

Had i walked to the property from the station as it was i was met by family, on reaching the front door in the rain forgetting it said on the email to check in at another address, that is my only issue.

nice large room very clean staff was very friendly and helpful we has a small problem with the toilets .they immediately came to check and fix it it is located in a quiet area but within walking distance of the city center many dining option around

Really good
Check in easy. Short walk to property. Lovely room, spacious, comfortable and very very clean (NO DUST AT ALL). Housekeeping deserve a pay rise. Never stayed anywhere as clean. Negatives…. Bedroom door sticks a bit so you have to push quite hard, perhaps shave a little off door to make it easier. Floorboards in room above very creaky. But not that big an issue. So overall, much more positive than negative. Would definitely stay again.

Manage expectations, walkable +free parking a plus
Manage your expectations. We’re big on expectation setting when traveling. Alban & Abby sent accurate information on how to check in and navigate to room. Private free parking was nice. We loved that this location was walkable to city center. A few things go know: 1. request a top floor room to avoid stomping above you - we heard footsteps after 11pm / 21:00 and before 6:00 . 2. Beds and showers across Scotland are small - too tiny for two average Americans (5’5” and 6’2”), so just manage your expectations. We are glad to pick a room that had a double bed and a twin bed to sleep separately.

4.5/5: This is my first time staying at Alban & Abbey and first bed and breakfast sort of accommodation (although there was no breakfast involved). The room was spacious enough for two (if you have a young one traveling it works but a bit cramped). The first thing i noticed was the cleanliness of the room and property in general. The bathroom was super clean and they really got bonus points for that! The property is a short walk from the town center. There is an excellent bakery and cafe around the corner. The neighborhood is super quiet which I really loved. There are no telephones in the room but there is one downstairs by the entrance. But this didn’t work - it is used to contact the front desk which is located at a different property in a different street. But do not greet, it is a short walk from the Alban & Abbey. All in all it’s a great comfortable room.

All rooms have clean linen and towels, tea and coffee making facilities, a large tv and a hairdryer as well as all the usual bedroom furniture and decor and toiletries in the bathroom. I am more than a little confused by your review I'm afraid.

Absolutely beautiful property. Very clean. Excellent service. Our only complaint was our room was next to the “smoking station” so we could not enjoy opening our windows without smelling cigarette smoke and listening to loud conversations.

If you need a clean room so you can explore the area during the day, and rest at night this is a good option. It's clean and a 5 minute walk from the bridge. The rooms are small with very basic amenities. Some recommended improvements would be improving the internet and adding a small fridge.
