Great location in a small but quaint town. The beach is walking distance, from middle of the resort property to the edge of the water is around 10minutes. The path was pedestrian designated and there are proper crosswalks to go into the beach parking lot...I'd say you can probably walk a toddler and feel safe enough to do so.
We rented a car and hopped around a bit to other beaches but found the 'home beach' to be the best. The stretch closest to the resort is sort of smack in the middle, so the peope that stayed in town likely won't walk down that far and it's really close to the beach restaurant/bar.
The hotel's pool is great, big enough for everybody. I don't think they were at max capacity, so it wasn't hard to find a lounge chair/umbrella during the day. It was, very nice, with a lifeguard on duty too.
We didn't do full board, and only had the breakfast plan, but that itself was very good. About 3 steps above a continental breakfast, different choices of yogurt, eggs/bacon, cold cut, cheese and different types of bread. Sure, they don't have am omlette station or anything like that but the dining room was very well staffed and the food is great.
We stayed in a classic/standard double room, it was big enough and the bed was comfortable enough. The suite was right on the garden level, so we have a bit of ant situation going on there... All rooms seems to have outside space and there is a little rack there for you to hang your bathing suits/what nots.
