Dear guest. We are truly sorry .But please let us explain. Firstly true we didn’t have a big different with a townhouse. Mayrooms’s rebuild got a lot of limits due to its age and structure. Also we would like to emphasis that we are not a HOTEL we are a HOSTEL. Mayrooms offers a safe clean and cheap place. This is what Hostel roughly about. We’re not a Hotel that provides fancy equipment you can see in the picture posted in every single booking website. Perhaps Hostel is not a place that suits you please spend more budgets and choose a Hotel that really fits you. This Hostel runs more than 50 years. Therefore we knows no matter how hard we do the oldness of this building cannot be covered. The Taiwanese Law structure cannot be change inside please forgive us. Consider the practicality we think is not necessary hiring someone staying 24 hours. We turn off the lights because we didn’t have big places, the double room and public space are next to each other. If we leave light opens there’s definitely going to be someone sitting and chatting there. Our guest are usually business person and travels, we like to let them rest well at night. Bunkbed’s floor also design a public place for guests. Although all lights had been turned off at the second floor we still leave some lights on at the hallway. Maybe the light bulb isn’t bright enough we are deeply sorry and we’ll change to a new one. A guest in your room told us that you carry a flash light with you all the time, and will use that every time you’re looking at something. So we think lighting problem is not a big issue for you but we will still improve, avoiding anyone wearing the wrong shoes. Although it’s the first time we face a man wearing a woman’s shoes. Our staff that day actively contact you and patiently waiting you to return and also trying to pacify the guest that lost her shoes. Thank you
