Best stay as far as I remember. One would absolutely fall in love with it in no time if he/she is into culture, be it traditional or pop(just look at the pictures you’ll know, but the actual place is even more impressive). Owners/staffs are more than just nice, they’re ready to make friends with the guests, and respect privacy at all time - a subtle balance they managed perfectly - such that it’s great for both solo travelers and couples. The shop downstairs is full of delightful objects(not all for sale), and the coffee is delicious! Walk outside you’ll find yourself in one of Taipei’s oldest neighborhood with lots to explore.
The only catch, just for objectivity seek, is the acoustic performance of the exterior facade due to its old construction. Vehicle noises could be a bit loud at night. Hopefully improvement measures could be considered, although options are limited as it’s a preserved historical building.
I’m already missing it, would definitely come back on my next Taipei trip.
