La Cabaña de Tata: Cozy Cabin, Books, Nature, and Contemplation
This charming wood cabin is nestled in the mountains of the rainforest in the small town of Dulce Nombre de Tayutic and designed as a place for contemplation and inspired creativity. It includes a main living/bedroom with a library and Queen sized sofa-bed; a cozy side room overlooking the river, with large screened windows perfect for listening to the sounds of the forest and the river; a fully equipped kitchen; a full bathroom and shower with hot water and walls made from dark volcanic stone. The cabin sits on a 25-acre property that is private and surrounded by lush forest mountains of Turrialba (about 2.5 hours southeast of San José) where you will enjoy the sounds of an incredible variety of birds and the constant flow of the river, which runs through the property and close to the cabin. There is a main house on the property where my husband and I live with our dogs Luna and Mateo. The cabin is separate from the house and sits on its own private area. You will also enjoy watching our two horses, Pinto and Loli, from the terrace. There are several walking trails both within the property and in the surrounding areas, including paths to beautiful waterfalls. You can also book horseback riding for an extra fee. If so, please let us know ahead of time so that we can prepare accordingly.
