It was a solo trip, so I tried booking the single room but I was offered the double room instead. The room was clean and there was enough place to open my big suitcase on the floor.
However, personally I think the room could use a bit more lighting as I find it difficult to read on bed at night. The bed is positioned with the headboard area in front of the window. It is a bit strange as I cannot lean on it properly when watching tv from the bed. Also, I could hear other guests talking in the corridor from my room quite clearly, and it was quite annoying especially this usually happened late in the evening at 10pm. I don't understand why they chose to chat outside the corridor instead of inside the room. There is also quite a considerable step up between the room floor and the bathroom floor. People might need to be careful about their movement in the difference in height.
Overall, this is a good hotel. Good location, lots of restaurants and convenience stores around, and there is WE bus taking you to Shinjuku Station and other parts of Shinjuku regularly.
