Come in and warm up at this large, cabin-themed getaway brimming with wooden features from top to bottom. The stone accents in the living room bring some of the outdoors in! Relax outside on the porch swing or on the expansive deck which also features a private gas grill. Small touches like the kitchen barn door and the pellet stove really complete the away-from-it-all ambiance here. The shared pools and hot tub provide nothing but comfort to your stay!

Make sure to take advantage of the proximity to Crystal Mountain! At the resort you'll enjoy skiing (cross-country and downhill), snowshoeing, 36-holes of golf, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, and a fitness center (additional fees apply). Beyond the resort, guests can take a delicious sip of local history at the Iron Fish Distillery, just four miles away. While those seeking a memorable hiking experience can head out on the Manistee River Trail, less than 25 miles from this home.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect property for weekend for 15 adults
We stayed two nights and had 15 adults. The property is spacious even for such a large group and the kitchen is fantastic (although it took us a minute to realize it was in the basement) with a very large island that seats 10 easily. Two bathrooms meant coordinating for showers but it was fine. We just had some people shower at night and left extra time in the morning. There's also a lot of room on the back deck for visiting and eating (if the sun isn't too hot). There was easy access to kayaking but note that paddling upstream in the Betsie River is a challenge. By most reports I heard, the beds were comfortable enough, if a little short for my 6'7" brother-in-law and his 6'5" son. People seemed to sleep pretty well though. I asked around and the only suggestions guests had were a light at the top of the basement stairs so it's clearer there is a useful space down there and maybe the addition of a dumpster service so there's somewhere outside to put garbage (especially dog waste bags). Overall, though, we loved this property and I heard people say more than once they wouldn't mind booking this property again in the future.

Great location, nice outdoor space
We had 2 families staying here for a ski trip to Crystal Mountain. The house was in a great location, less than 5 minutes to the mountain. The backyard along the river was really pretty and nice. The house had an interesting layout with the kitchen in the basement. There was plenty of sleeping space for all 9 of us, but the beds were terrible and could really use an upgrade. We brought 3 dogs with us and it was great to be able to do that. It’s obvious it’s a pet friendly house as the carpet was pretty stained. The listing boasts access to a shared pool/hot tub (at Crystal), but only after arrival did we discover that we didn’t actually have access. It would have been nice to know this prior to booking and that should be removed from the listing. I tried to reach out to the owner/manager multiple times prior to our trip and was never able to reach someone. I’ve honestly never had such trouble with communication on a rental before. I finally received a response to my email after we had arrived home from the trip!

The river was wonderful! House was beautiful! Downside- All beds were very uncomfortable. There were 15 areas to sleep but the house wasn’t really big enough for 15 adults. Kitchen was downstairs.

Solid Stay in Thompsonville
My family and I are frequent visitors to northern MI and this location was up there with the best of them. The size of the backyard was perfect for kids/dogs to run around; a wonderful deck that provided wonderful dinner views; and the river, how can you beat that? The house is also stocked with everything you would need, from dishes and spices, to towels and linens. That being said, the house could use a deep cleaning. The carpets felt a bit worn and the furniture a bit musty. There were also consistent flies downstairs that we had to contend with. That aside, we would recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy nature and the peace and quiet!

Great place to stay..floor plan is a bit different
The home was great for what we used it for which was a fishing trip with family. We were a bit confused by the layout because the kitchen is in the walkout basement. It worked, but the stairs to the basement have narrow treads so had to be careful carrying our toddler down them. The water pressure was low in both showers as well. The positives: Great location! We were able to fish right out the back door so no driving, the property is well taken care of and very clean. Short drive to town for groceries and a gas station is just a few minutes away for anything needed in a pinch. Plenty of parking for vehicles and the living room was amazing with all the sliding doors to open up and let the cooler weather breeze through.

So my little family (husband,me,6month old,and 2 dogs) headed to the area to see family for the first time since the baby was born. Now that our family has grown we decided this is the first year to not stay with other relatives and to have everyone come to us. So we had regular visitors grandparents, aunts, siblings. Counted them all as guest for our reservations, and no price increase for the extra guest with in the max limit 👍then the location of the home was about 15 min from grandparents and about 45min from siblings another👍👍. The views from this home where show stopping for all those who visited 👍👍👍 the cabin was updated to wowza level. 👍👍👍👍. As one of the youngest in my family visiting and attempting to prove we are grown adults. This cabin hit everyone with some serious “ Cabin Life Goals” even husbands got home and was like our home is small compared to where we stayed over the week. Only a couple things to watch out for steaming devices are present however for us in the trees and rain internet was a bit lagging. And lighting a bit further from the home not as abundant so late night walks around the property with pups. Bring Flash light!!!! All in all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Will definitely book this Cabin again if we don’t buy/build one just like it.
