Great pick!!
Great area, very convenient!! Room was modern and comfortable! The staff were so kind and helpful!! The hotel was very quiet too. It has all the amenities you need plus a robe & slippers!! So close to major shopping and dining areas. 3 min to the train station!

Very happy.
I’m done with some of the other Kannai-Basamichi hotels. I have stayed here several times. The Richmond is my hotel of choice.

The only negative was the A/C. The room was too warm. I really liked the bed and pillows. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is really good for the Best part of Yokohama!

My usual Bashamichi hotel
In the past few years I've spent a lot of time in the area near Kannai and Bashamichi stations. The Richmond Hotel Yokohama Bashamichi is an excellent choice. A professional and helpful staff. A very convenient location including right next to the Bashamichi station, near many restaurants, and interesting locations including an Italian mini-market. Very good WiFi with good upload and download speeds, even though I usually bring my own data service for work. A very nice and strong shower. Very good restroom in general including a Toto washlet. A good office chair, which can be rare in Japanese hotels. Comfortable bed even if a bit on the smaller side. Overall, a professional and helpful staff, great location, and great price. There used to be a Tully's coffee in the first floor but now it's a Royal's Cafe＆Shop (of Royal Host). They're both great choices for a morning coffee or breakfast.

Excellent Hotel in Yokohama
An excellent hotel to stay at in Yokohama, if you are staying for a short time. Very close walk to train stations, and close to nice restaurants, shopping, bars and cafes in the area. Kind, friendly, and courteous staff (a number of them can speak English as well), and the rooms are very tidy and clean. Highly recommended.

I have stayed many times recently and everything works perfectly. I decided to got directly to Haneda and was not expensive. Nice and clean with lots of amenities.
Bed and pillows are typical for Japan. Hard. But the hotel was clean, hot shower with lots of water pressure. Toiletries, pajamas, slippers, refrigerator/freezer, electric water kettle, smart phone, etc. provided.

The hotel is near the station and is easily accessible to food joints and convenience stores. The staff were friendly and the room was both comfortable and clean. We had a good stay. :-)

Convenient Hotel for the Cruise Terminal
We were met by a member of the reception staff who was more than helpful and spoke good English. We wanted a light meal before going to bed as we had travelled overnight and were quite tired.She gave us directions to a number of restaurants nearby.When we returned to the hotel she approached us and was most interested in how we managed. We felt very comfortable woth everyone we came in contact with.Hotel staff members and members of the publicl were very polite and helpful. My only minor concern would be the lack of variety of Western food for the breakfast buffet however as we were late getting up perhaps we missed out on some items. We required a taxi to the cruise ship terminal and this was arranged very quickly and the taxi arrived promptly I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel in the future.

I usually have some troubles with the bed, which is the worst pain in the neck on the business trip. I am not sure if it's because of the bed quality or from the A/C, but I do not have one here. The room is nice and clean, well updated, and the desk which faces the window, not the wall, is the biggest of all the business hotels I stayed so far. A humidifier is also available, which is handy during the dry winter season when the indoor RH drops down to 20-30%. Bath tub is deep enough to soak up to shoulder. All in all, I recommend this hotel to any frequent business travelers.

The hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and helpful. This hotel also have a green programme in place. Great location to train and subway, and food places. Room rates are friendly too.

The Richmond Bashamichi is an adequate hotel. Good location, for sure. Nice breakfast. Very clean and well maintained. I had to take a smoking room when I reserved and they did manage to find me a non-smoking room upon check in, but it was a day-by-day chore. The smoking rooms smell bad, so I do not suggest taking the risk, if you do not smoke. The rooms are small and, for a stay of 6 nights, the room was too small. I reserved and paid more for a standard double room and upon check-in they wanted me to take a lesser room with a single bed. I had paid for the larger bed, so I insisted. Many of the desk staff speak little or no English. I requested a 30-40 minute late check out and was informed that it was possible, but I would be charged per hour. At $225 for the previous night, I thought that an extra 30-40 minutes should have been allowed.

Great Hotel
My stay at the Richmond Hotel Yokohama Baschamichi was great!!! The staff was very helpful, even though some spoke little English they made an effort to accommodate us. The room was small by Western standards but it was perfect for us. The hotel rate was extremely reasonable except on Saturday night when the rate increased. But it was so reasonable I was able to book another room for my son. Very clean and simple room but nicely decorated . The hotel is very close to the Baschamichi station and to the subway station. Many attractions, shops and restaurants are within a couple minutes from the hotel. I would definitely stay at the Richmond Yokohama Baschimichi hotel again. It was a fantastic trip and Japan has one of the best customer service in the world.

Large rooms, excellent location
An excellent value, rooms are bigger than most in Japan. The location is great, there's a restaurant in the lobby and some great bars and food within a few blocks. It's also very close to both the metro and train stations. The neighborhood is safe. The staff at the check in area speak enough English to be helpful and are very welcoming. An excellent place to stay!
