Stayed at Grand Adam’s for two nights.
The room we were given was in the middle of the hotel with no external windows, it had two beds and an ensuite that was a wet room.
Upon entering our room I noted a damp smell but assumed it was because there are no windows that can be opened for air - there was a window into the thoroughfare area of the hotel but it didn’t open, only way to get fresh air was to leave the door open. The bathroom door didn’t close and there were various rules about using the toilet and shower.
On the first night the damp smell was awful, we assumed it was the bathroom as the door didn’t close properly. After we completed the hike and returned to our room we noticed the smell was even worse but we were so tired we had to sleep. We spoke to the woman in charge and asked if we could have another room for our second night. She wasn’t aware that we were staying another night despite our booking. She said she would see if there were other rooms and get back to us.
The pool wasn’t sealed properly and very slippery, the spa was stacked with junk.
The smell in the room was so disgusting that night we had to demand to move (woman never got back to us) - the smell was actually the wall behind the bed and bed base that was rotting - I suspect a damaged sewage pipe from the smell.
Had a horrible experience at this hotel, staff were unhelpful, and the food was ridiculously expensive and took way too long to make.
Stay somewhere else.
