Great view and place to relax

Loved this secluded retreat with an incredible view of the sunset against this hills! Great for families and people looking to relax. Communication was great and everything was exactly as listed. Would definitely recommend!

Memorial Weekend

Family of four spent Memorial Weekend at this location and boy did it not disappoint! Excellent views, everything just as described. My family had a wonderful time there (2 adults, 11, & 5 year old), and look forward to getting back there in the near future.

New Years get away

Very private and quiet. Just what we were after. Close enough to town for restaurant if you wanted but we chose to cook at house and just enjoy the solitude.

Hill Country Heaven

Quiet and secluded getaway, perfect for getting away from the traffic and noise in Houston. Best view I’ve ever seen of the stars in Texas, from a jacuzzi no less!

Girls weekend

Unfortunately we had no hot water for the main cabin, The owner did contact us immediately and had someone out to try to fix, they were not able to order the part until Monday, my mom which is 75 years old had a hard time traveling the stairs to the second cabin, you could also smell the sewer the entire time,, I have stayed here several times this was the only time something went wrong,

Great country getaway with a view

Great value property. Well stocked. Location is very secluded. We made smores every night. Kids and dog had a blast. If you have trouble with stairs, this is not the one for you. This wasn't a problem for us, just a warning for people with mobility issues.

Quiet and peaceful retreat in the Hill Country

We just got back from our vacation at Stoney Ranch, and we are totally refreshed. We really enjoyed our time there, as the remote location allowed us to get away from the noise of everyday life (and also enjoy some wonderful stargazing). The location was perfect in terms of allowing us to visit surrounding Hill Country towns and sites, including Comfort, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Bandera, Boerne, and Pedernales Falls State Park. The cabins were clean and comfortable, and our kids definitely loved the fact that they were able to enjoy their own cabin! The managers of the property were incredibly helpful, proactive, and responsive to questions. We had a blast and can't recommend this place enough!

Perfect Escapeaway!!!

Secluded. Nature. Quiet. SOLITUDE!!! A breathtaking sunset over the Hill Country. Followed by a relaxing dip into the Jacuzzi surrounded by countless stars accompanied by a constant refreshing breeze. If you're looking to escape the mayhem of city life while getting back to the good ole days of adventures awaiting, then this is absolutely the place to do it. Hello, Mother Nature, it's a pleasure to meet you.

Great property. House needs updating.

The property is amazing and beautiful and a great location. We loved exploring the 55 acres. The views are amazing and we loved the peace and quiet. It was a excellent spot to relax and recharge. Sitting on the deck overlooking the hill country was exactly what we needed. We did plenty of eating and shopping from Bandara to Kerrville. The house however, needs some overall updating. No cold water in the kitchen, only hot. This made it difficult to clean dishes or wash hands with scalding hot water. Very poor, very dim lighting In the kitchen as well, makes it hard to cook without lighting. The sliding screen door is broken and needs to be replaced or repaired. It became so difficult to open and close it and we wanted the screen open for air flow. We just kept it closed and used the back to door and walked around. This was frustrating but allowed us to open up the house with the perfect weather. We didn’t use the hot tub, honestly because of having to add the chemicals. Frankly, that was a turn off on using it. So we didn’t. We have a hot tub at home, and don’t have to do anything to it. I don’t want to go on vacation and have to test hot tub water and add chemicals. This should not be a guests responsible. We had an incident with a deer. A buck was chasing her and she got her leg caught in the barbed wire fence of the property below, just below the house. It could have been a really bad scene but luckily we found a pair of broken trimmers that worked enough to cut the wire and free her. Thank goodness because that was our very first morning and our anniversary. So we were incredibly relieved that we were able to save her. The area has a mountain feel, like you’re in Colorado. Thank for you allowing us to share your beautiful property. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Peaceful & relaxing oasis!

We had the best weekend! Very peaceful and quiet, everything we needed, even our dogs loved it! Hosts were great with directions and lots of helpful info. Kitchen was stocked and the smart TV was a plus! Bed was super comfy and we loved sitting outside to enjoy the perfect view and weather.

Simply Breathtaking....

This rental was the epitome of a perfect vacation..Picture a large well appointed cabin nestled into the side of a mountain complete with hot tub and firepit area..Then when you enter bottom cabin, its extremely well maintained interior..I can safely say I have not been this relaxed, have not slept so well in years..The best part to me though was the view, pictures cannot do it justice, it was amazing.. the closest I've felt to God and the Earth in a long time ...

Serenity at Christmas time

The location is Texas perfection. The cabins themselves are nothing fancy, but they look out over a gorgeous little valley and are nestled on a cool piece of property that is worth exploring. The fact that it’s all fenced in allowed our children and dogs to roam freely and safely, taking the stress off of their mother and I. The time of year is ideal for sunsets, and the weather was glorious - cool at night and in the morning, getting up to high sixties at peak of day. Hot tub was great. Loved it, will recommend to friends and probably be back. Oven wasn’t working well, there was dust up high and in the blinds, bunk beds were a little concave, stairs between cabins are a bit unsteady, Internet streaming was not very good, and there’s no way to lock the access between the two rooms of the upper cabin. Minor issues. We came, we relaxed, we ate and drank, we unplugged, we are very happy.
