Perfect for a peaceful weekend!

We had a great stay at Sunkissed. There was plenty of space for a large group (even if the bunkbeds were difficult for adults to share). It's right on the beach with a great deck and heated pool looking over the Gulf. The pool was perfectly heated for February and there was plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy a great day in the sun! Our only suggestion would be to bring extra trashbags, paper towels and toilet paper as there wasn't extra or enough for a group of 22. Regardless, it was a wonderful weekend! We'd come here again!

Terrific

Amazing property and loved the uncrowded beach. Even with the holiday, there was still plenty of room to enjoy the views on the sands. Great dolphin viewing as well!

Best experience ever!

Right on the beach! Quiet private beach access. Beautiful deck that's covered for rainy days or when you need a break from the sun. Pool was the perfect size to entertain the kids while the adults relaxed on the deck enjoying the ocean view right behind them. Room sizes were nice and clean. The bathrooms were spacious and clean and the kitchen had plenty of items to use. LOVED IT!!! Already looking to book again!

Beautiful house on a private beach.

The house was as beautiful and comfortable as it looked online. Our family of 15 had plenty of room to enjoy time together. The beach is so nice and has a private feel. The town is small and not as commercialized as many of the Alabama beaches. We had a great time.

Family Vacation

The pool was good for the young kids. The only disappointments were the laminate flooring is nearing its useful life and the house could not be locked since the master bedroom door handles were missing. We worked around not being able to lock the house.

40th Birthday Getaway

We escaped from New Orleans to this lovely home on Dauphin Island. Even though it was chilly, it’s a great location to walk the beach. The porch was lovely, room accommodations were awesome to have each room with its own bathroom and great open concept. Town is a short drive but no need to leave this house!

50th anniversary celebration with family.

We invited our 8 grandkids and their parents to this house in celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary. The pool and the ocean were big draws. The kids loved the bunk room. We were told that the grands were in tears once they realized we were leaving and no longer all together. This place is a bit of heaven on earth. A great idea for celebrating with family.

Four couples took our annual fall break trip!! We had a wonderful time!! There is nothing bad that I can say about this property! We had plenty of room, a beautiful view, fully equipped kitchen, an extra refrigerator…..I could go on and on!! I would definitely recommend this property!

awesome family time

we loved everything about this rental except the stairs, a lift would have been a tremendous help with getting little ones to the beach and car, other than that everything was perfect! the beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were very quiet. the kitchen was awesome with plenty of seating for our party of 12. We hope to make this a yearly vacation.

Great Family Vacation

This house was great! Being right on the beach is always amazing and we love Dauphin Island and the addition of a pool just put the icing on the cake. There was plenty of space for three families that went, with a total of 13 people. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to vacation at Dauphin Island. I will say the only thing that was concerning were the construction scraps laying all under the house and around it. We found multiple sharp pieces of wood and various other supplies, as well as some screws and nails. Just be careful where you step! I would 1000% stay here again and the owner and Vacasa were extremely friendly and easy to work with!

A great home for a large family!

The house is great and spacious. The kitchen is well supplied with any utensil/pot/pan you might need, including k-cups. That was a nice surprise! The improvements I would recommend would be to leave a vacuum for guests to use. There are brooms, but it doesn't really help gather any sand tracked in. Also, as many other guests have stated, the construction debris below the house (where you would walk barefoot to the ocean) is still present and very hazardous. This included screws, nails and a razor blade, as well as small chunks of wood. The house itself rates 5 stars, however the lack of cleanup is concerning.

Take me back! Sunkissed is the perfect place to vacation, relax, make memories….. The home has it all!!! Beach- check Plenty of space- check Refrigeration for the week- check Has 2 refrigerators Work space- check Pool-check Volleyball court- check Large TVs- check Reliable wi-fi-check Instagram worthy-check Views-check Video Games-check Board Games- check Fully stocked kitchen-check Bunk room-check Private-check Swings-check Character-check Comfortable-check I can go on….. the home is worthy every Penny!!!!! Our large family was able to enjoy the home, pool, and beach and still have our own space. It is a well thought out home with all the amenities you need. It was pure perfection. Made reservation through VRBO got Vacasa

We loved the house. But the pool was leaking (a crack.) Vacasa was not all that responsive and when they did respond they told us it wasn't leaking it was evaporation from the heater (we have photos, a crack, water leaking out, and in the end after they did turn off the inflow - 10 inches of water left - that would be a lot of evaporation! Not good customer service.) I would have preferred to work with a local agency. But sadly that doesn't happen much anymore. In the end Vacasa says they will reimburse -- will see if they do. They haven't done much to instill confidence.

Perfect location, peaceful and quiet

The house was beautiful. We would rent from Mary again hands down. The location was peaceful. House has EVERYTHING you need. A bonus is the private heated pool. I looked forward to this pool since I booked last October. However Vacasa property management was not great. 1/5 stars from me. The pool was warm when we arrived Sat 4/20/24. However by Tuesday morning the pool felt cool, not warm. The owner (Mary) had texted me to make sure that our stay was starting off great, so I mentioned the pool temp to her. After some conversation about the outside air temp vs. expectations on the heated pool experience. She mentioned reaching out to Vacasa if it got worse. Also shared the pool guy cleans it Sat and Tuesday. So if something is wrong, he would correct it when he arrived. We were gone most of the day so we never saw anyone clean the pool. On Wednesday afternoon we got in the pool and determined it was just too cold to enjoy it. I called the CS number for Vacasa to report the pool temp was too cold. They took my information and said their pool guy will call me to setup time to come by. Help did not arrive until Friday at 4:00pm. Just too late for us to enjoy it. I’m very sad about that.

I’m very skeptical of places actually being like they look in photos and I can confirm this house exceeded my expectations. The open floor plan will allow you and your family to never feel crowded. There were 8 adults and 4 toddlers with us and even with the kids running around, we had plenty of room. We cooked at home every night and found the kitchen to have all utensils and cookware provided for big meals. The location was what sold me. Walk off the stairs on to the private beach. No fighting crowds for a good spot by the water and quick to get back inside if need be. The house was spotless when we arrived. There was Toilet paper in each bathroom (1 roll) and paper towels in kitchen (2 rolls) along with dish washing detergent which is nice to get you along while your getting settled in before heading to the store to stock up on whatever you may need. I highly suggest bringing a vacuum with you for your stay. There is a broom and dustpan but I feel like the vacuum would make shorter work out of all the sand that accumulates on the floors. The back deck is almost as big as the living room/kitchen area and is where we spent most of our time when at the home. The heated pool helped tremendously since the ocean was still too cold to get in. There are two shallow “lounge” areas where the 2 yr old liked to splash around at too Highly recommend this place. Already rebooked for the fall time!

The house, location, and the beach were awesome, everyone had a great time. Kids were able to go back and forth from the beach and pool with ease. Deck space is great and so is the seperation with the gates from the pool area and stairs. Volleyball court is a great addition and the beach was fantastic. Construction material needs to be cleaned up under the house. We would definitely come back for another visit.
