This stay was such a disappointment to what we experienced when we stayed 5 years ago. We had been staying at a 3 start in Delhi Aerocity (Ibis) and planned a 2 day stay at Vivanta Faridibad while visiting some friends. Even though the star rating was there, it pales in comparison to what we left at the 3 star hotel. The customer service was pitiful. There was a pervasive sewage odor that would come and go throughout the hotel and our room. When arriving to our 1st room (which was requested non-smoking) someone had clearly been smoking in it. The room was changed to a less offensive one. In the middle of the night, the sewage smell woke us up from sleep. When we told the staff about it in the AM they sent someone to spray room freshener. Only a temporary fix. The spa was a disappointment. My wife’s masseuse wasn’t even present at her scheduled time. She had to ask to use the steam sauna. We knew what we to expect with the spa experience from our last visit and this was NOT up to par. It seemed like no one really cared that we/customers were there nor eager to provide a service. The hotel itself was in disrepair. Carpets shredded and wooden floors mared/damaged. On check out 4 employees/door men watched me struggle with all of our luggage out to the car. Not ONE person offered to assist me. NEVER staying here, again! Vivanta Faridibad should be a 2 star. We went back to Ibis. At least it was clean, good smelling, and employees were helpful/happy.
