Newly renovated resort lacking substance
My third time to the Maldives and first time visiting this resort.
Pros:- 1) brand new room and facilities, renovation very recently completed at the end of 2019; 2) room is spacious and well-designed, with a large net on the balcony platform for sunbathing; 3) excellent housekeeping, the room being well kept and maintained; 4) quiet ambience due to relatively low occupancy; 5) efficient logistics with an early check-in; 6) nice spa services with reasonable pricing.
Cons:- 1) Inferior food quality, rather disappointing in terms of choice and favour; 2) repetitive food options; 3) poor hospitality from the designated waiter as he’s much more interested in serving couples / white people; 4) no air-conditioning at all bars and restaurants which makes dining a painful experience due to the hot and stuffy weather during this period; 5) water around the resort is just too shallow for snorkelling; 6) marine diversity of the island waters is very much limited; 7) receptionists always walk around to ask people for feedback of their stay, yet for the sake of asking only since it usually take a long time for the issue to get resolved; 8) unstable connectivity of WiFi throughout the resort.
