long weekend away

wonderfully rennovated old barn in excellent condition with spectacular views halfway up the side of a hill overlooking Whitesands Bay. Even with poor weather it was a very enjoyable and relaxing long weekend with plenty to do in St David's in the rain and a great outdoor environment when dry

Beautiful Accommodation

A group of friends having a much needed night away. Accommodation was beautiful, everything we needed for a night away. Pre stay communication was poor, we were not given any details on how to access the property before we arrived. When we did arrive there was a key code box next to our property but we didn't have the code, took a few phone calls and answer phone messages and knocks on the doors of other property's to try and find out how we could get into our property. Hosts did get back to us and gave us the code over the phone - would of been much better to have had this before we arrived. I did message the owners via the VRBO app prior to arrival asking for information on the check in process but didn't get a reply. Once we did get into the property it did not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt so relaxed. Due to the poor weather we didn't go into the hot tub. The log burner was a big hit and made for a cosy night of girly catch ups. Would definitely come back again!

Beautiful spot

We had some minor problems which didn’t spoil the stay: We had some trouble finding the place as the owners didn’t manage to mail us the check in information. They were very pleasant on the phone. The internet password in the welcome book was incorrect. The TV could not be linked to the internet so we were unable to stream during our week long stay. The owners were apparently out of the country and couldn’t be contacted to help. The kitchen wasn’t very well equipped (no frying pan, poor quality pans, limited equipment). Great coffee machine though. Otherwise we loved our stay. The spot is absolutely beautiful and the barn conversion has been beautifully done, with high quality materials and great finishes. It all seems brand new. They thoughtfully left a welcome bottle of bubbly and Welsh cakes. It’s an easy walk up to the Carn, to St David’s head or down to Whitesands Bay for surfing. An absolutely idyllic spot. Get your picnic stuff and then your are all set. Would definitely stay here again, although was a bit irritating not to be able to sort the tv out. I’m sure the owners must have been in desparate need of a holiday as much as us.

Perfect spot for a weekend get away

We had a great night in this beautifully positioned, spotlessly clean and stylish cottage. The hot tub was great, the house had everything we needed- would love to return.

Beautiful barn conversion with great views

Lovely stay with great views and a gorgeous barn conversion with plenty of room. The drive up is very uneven with pot holes, so not good for the cars. We were disappointed that we couldn’t use the hot tub, due to it not heating up and it was very dark outside with most lights not working. The DVD player didn’t work but we took games for entertainment. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location to the bay

No correspondence up to the day before travel from owner? Wasn’t sure how to get in. The cushions, sofa and rugs had stains, freezer was dirty with hair inside. The hot tub has rust marks and couldn’t use because away from the property with someone else balcony overlooking. The place was a nice location to the bay and walks but could’ve been cleaner and no where to sit and look at the bay with a glass of wine, pretty much have to stand at small window to see the bay.

Good weekend

Wasn’t the cleanest inside. A lot of marks by and stains from previous people who stayed. The hot tub kept tripping out with was quite annoying. Beds, quilts and pillows felt like we was in prison cells but the scenery from the windows and the surrounding areas are some of the best I have ever seen

Awful stay,owners are rude,very misleading,couldn’t even breath without a phone calling saying we were loud,not very private,charged twice for insurance! Was asked to leave without refund in full and they back tracked about the refund

Amazing place to stay and great location

This property looks exactly like the images - large and spacious master with en-suite and huge upstairs living and dining area. The staff were great - we asked for a few things on our stay; dish rack and clothes horse and they provided them for us. The fire place is fantastic - though the fore sensors are sensitive so just a bit of trial and error to get it going - once you have it down very easy to use. The location is amazing - take one 5 minute walk and you are on the beach - another direction and you are climbing a mountain and on the coastal path. The hot tub is positioned opposite the house and just as you can see those in the property on their balcony they can see you - but that’s not a massive issue - we never got to use it due to the weather and having a baby - if it had been closer to the property we may have tried but didn’t have time - looks like a large hot tub and clearly well maintained as the service staff were cleaning and emptying them on our departure. Greta views, and even in the rainy weather - it’s not a bad place to stay inside with the fire on. Would recommend 100%

This property is a 5star in everything, the most beautiful and lovely house we ever stayed in

One of the best holiday. Everything in this house is finished at the very high standards. Very impressed with everything. The owner was very welcoming and he helped us when needed. Definitely will go back and we recommend this property to everyone. Thanks for such a lovely holiday

Lovely inside ,shame about outside

The inside of the property is beautiful . Sadly the outside area with the hot tub is very disappointing as it is not a private area at all and you can easily be seen by everyone else in the other cottages so we felt uncomfortable about using it .
