Friendly welcome / check in, and detailed (but not too detailed) explanation of the facilities and the Covid rules. Room was neat and tidy, and looked like it had been recently painted. Bed was comfy. Fridge was full of goodies for breakfast including fresh milk, yoghurts, a monster bowl of fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and something else that I didn't recognise!! A bowl of apples, oranges and a banana were also in the room. The tea and coffee supplies were plentiful, and shortbread and oatcakes were an appreciated addition.Hot croissants and drinks arrived at exactly the time requested. Yummy. Table outside the room allowed us to eat al fresco, but opening a window let the midges in (which is a risk in Scotland at this time of the year). They then dined on us..... despite using anti midge spray.
Plan to return to this accommodation, when we are next in Scotland, for a longer stay and as a central point for visiting other tourist spots
