For outdoor adventure including cycling, walking and climbing you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg, Catbells, nearby you’ll find Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. Situated in the heart of Keswick you can easily walk into the town centre and leave the car behind. From the front door you are just 5 minutes’ walk into the main market square. Keswick is vibrant with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink. Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and the obligatory outdoor and fashion brands. Plenty of deli’s, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards this traditional market town is one not to be missed. If you like culture check out the Theatre By The Lake, ½ mile, with award winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, ¾ miles, where you can hire a rowing boat or even take a dip. For family fun why not try Puzzling Place, a mind boggling attraction based on optical illusions or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world, both ½ miles.
