Lovely spotlessly clean cottage.

If you want modern then this isn't the cottage.

If you want modern then this isn't the cottage. But if you want clean, cosy, and an amazing situation then this is the place. It has everything you need. Nestled at the foot of thornthwaite forest, 30 minutes walk from the door to whinlatter visitors centre. Stream running through the garden. And if you like sitting in the garden watching the variety of birds and red squirrels scurrying around then Oak Lea is the place. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet this little cottage offered. Spacious, well equipped cottage in a beautiful scenery. Last house up the hill, little brook running in the garden. The cottage was super clean and well maintained. The view is beautiful and it's very silent. You need a car for this location as all shops and restaurants are miles away. Walks right behind the cottage. This is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.

This is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage is right on the edge of whinlatter forest at the top of the roadway. The view is fantastic. It is well equipped, although we would have preferred a larger fridge so we didn't have to shop so often. The lockable shed was a welcome advantage as we had 2 bicycles and to know they were safely locked away when we were out was great.

We have enjoyed another lovely week at Oak Lea. The cottage is in an ideal location for walking, and visiting local towns and villages. The cottage has everything that you would need for a comfortable holiday. We will be visiting again.
