Great short stay for a work visit

We recently stayed at "Peppy By The Sea" and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The house is exactly as described – a stunning, colonial-style 2-storey, 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom retreat in the charming Peppermint Grove Beach. The layout is perfect for two couples or two families. The two identical master bedrooms upstairs, each with its own private spa ensuite, ensured that both couples enjoyed the same level of comfort and luxury. Both master bedrooms open onto a gorgeous 3-metre wrap-around balcony, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for relaxation and entertainment. The first floor also includes a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a dining area, and a living area, all of which open onto the expansive balcony. This made it easy for us to cook, dine, and unwind while enjoying the stunning scenery. Downstairs, the three additional bedrooms and separate bathroom comfortably accommodated the kids and another couple in our group. The entertainment/activity area downstairs was a hit with the kids, giving them their own space to play and relax. One of the highlights was the outdoor space – the wide timber balconies, teak outdoor furniture, and gas BBQ were perfect for outdoor dining and soaking in the beautiful sunsets. We loved the long beach walks, fishing, and the serene ambiance of Peppermint Grove Beach.

Not the worst

Very beautiful house, however fingerprints are all over switches and sinks when you arrive, the bins we were provided over the weekend were full, the gas ran out on us on our last night and all the spare gas bottles the house had provided were empty. No coffee pods were provided for the coffee machine either. Very disappointed at how much I paid compared to the service I received, and I think it’s a bit ridiculous you aren’t allowed to even sit out on the balcony quietly after 9pm without a neighbour coming to tell you you’re not allowed outside anymore and to get your things and go inside. It doesn’t feel very holiday homey at all.
