This property was perfect for our vacation. It was "off the beaten path," but provided a shuttle for easy access to the city center. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. The service staff in the dining room was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Praiano is such a charming town and the La Barbera was a perfect place to stay. Everything was perfect - From the moment we arrived and were guided to the beautiful patio and given an Aperol spritz, to our wonderful room with a comfortable bed spacious bathroom and patio with views for miles, to the wonderful breakfast every morning, and finally, the fabulous staff. Francesco was there to great us every afternoon after our day of adventuring. He made wonderful suggestions for dinner and booked the reservations. Sylvia greeted us each morning for breakfast and provided wonderful advice for planning each day. We stayed three nights and then spent four in Sorrento. We wish we had stayed one more night at La Barbera!

The restaurant was the best part of this hotel. Unfortunately, my room had several issues — the sink and bathtub weren’t working properly, and the shower design caused water to spill all over the floor because the showerhead was positioned too close to the edge. The breakfast was also underwhelming. Overall, it’s not worth over $500 a night.

We were a party of 6 staying at this lovely hotel set on the hill side overlooking the sea. We had great rooms all with sea views on the fourth floor, they were spacious with goid storage and small balconies. Breakfast was included there was plenty of choice, staff always welcomed you with a smile. All the hotel staff we encountered were lovely and friendly and helpful, from reception staff, bar staff , pool attendants the cleaners and the shuttle bus drivers , nothing was ever too much. Vittoria, who welcomed us Francesco who checked us out were fabulous. Special shout out to Nello the pool man he was fabulous always greeted you with a huge smile and hello, he even had time to say goodbye as we checked out even though it was early an morning checkout. The hotel offers a hourly shuttle bus service from 9am to 11pm into the centre with returns hourly from 9:30am to 11:30pm. The later return shuttles could be busy sometimes but you were never left stranded the driver always ensured he got you back to the hotel . Would definitely recommend this hotel .

The hotel service was excellent. Our breakfast and diner host, Fernando, was very attentive and provided excellent service. We are a difficult family in that one of our family members has a multiple food allergies and he was extremely accommodating and attentive when considering her needs. The shuttle service is reliable and takes you to and from the Sorrento city center, very close to the rail station. The hotel offers majestic views of Sorrento, a relaxing atmosphere, and an extremely attentive and kind staff. I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful hotel. Lovely pool, grounds, view. Breakfast was out of this world. Way beyond expectations. Best included hotel bfast I think I've ever had. All hotel staff were SO kind and helpful. Free shuttle was key. Paid 40 euro to get from get to hotel when we first got there. Afterward we took the free shuttle to as nd from city center. Took about 12 mins. Only small things is that we are dinner there our last night and process are def higher than in town, but they charged us 25 euros for buttered noodles with Parm. Same price as the bolonaise. Wish we had another day though to just hang out by the pool and chill. Highly recommend.

The hotel was amazing, huge panoramic windows giving stunning views over Sorrento bay and Mount Vesuvius. The terraced area was beautiful and tranquil again offering stunning views. The pool was fab, a great size and there were enough sun beds. The pool attendant was very friendly, always smiling. He’d bring towels, set up the sun beds and umbrellas just as we wanted them and take our drinks orders. In the evening you could eat outside on the terrace or in the dining room and four nights a week there was either a singer or disco in the outside bar area. There was a regular shuttle bus to and from Sorrento town centre from 9am with the last bus back at 11:30pm. Breakfast options ranged from full cooked breakfast, croissants, pastries and sweet treats to continental options or cereals, fruit and yogurts. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
