Romantic Beach Front CaraPod with Hot Tub - Kintyre

The CaraPod is every couple's perfect escape. Set right on the glorious Point Sands Beach (not an 8 min drive as the listing says!) where you can lie in bed and listen to the waves lapping on the shore, the CaraPod comes with it s own private & exclusive wood fired hot tub for you to relax away the stresses of every day life whilst sipping champagne under the star lit skies of the west coast of Scotland.

Set in the heart of the Kintyre Peninsular, the CaraPod is the perfect location for a day trip to the island of Gigha with its crystal clear waters, unspoilt beaches and Michelin listed restaurant - The Boathouse. A short stroll along the beach from the CaraPod will take you to a licensed cafe and the ferry to the island of Gigha.

Kintyre has so much to offer with six golf courses, whisky tours and gin distilleries, deserted sandy beaches and huge night skies.

After an action packed day come back to the romantic haven of the CaraPod to relax in the steaming wood fired hot tub under the magnificent clear starry night skies.

Long weekend escape
Perfect peaceful weekend escape. All as described. Clean and tidy. No complaints from us and we will be back. Give the private and sheltered hot tub at least two hours to heat up, go for a walk along the beach just 30 seconds from your door when you get back it,ll be ready. The drop down bed v easy to use and v comfortable. With views over to Gigha and watching the ferry come and go a relaxing break.

Stay at the Carapod.
We had a lovely stay at the Carapod. The weather was excellent which was good because we were able to eat all of our meals outside. With very limited space this was just as well. We are an elderly couple so found it difficult to get in and out of the bed and the hot tub. Ideal for young people. We used the BBQ and enjoyed it.

My husband and I loved our little ‘retreat’ in the Carapod. Really well equipped and great views. We particularly enjoyed the wood fired tub and bbq.

A blood stained headboard
The pod was very dirty. The headboard looked like blood had soaked into it. There were cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling, the bathroom blind was covered in mould, the dishes weren’t even clean. There was no toaster as stated, the beach cafe is a 45 minute walk from the pod, not a “short stroll” along the beach as stated in the email. The robes provided had been used by previous guests as they stunk and one was burnt. The fairy lights outside next to the hot tub were so dull they should be replaced. And to top it all off, there was someone outside the pod early hours this morning as me and my partner could hear them. To expect anyone to pay the price that you charge is absolutely shocking.

Perfect escape
Me and my other home came here for a weekend away/ break from city life. And we will be back again and again. The carapod is perfect, it has everything you need in a compact place, and yet it doesn't feel small. The location is idillic and perfect if you're a nature or water baby like me. Listening to the sea waves crashing in at night was the perfect way to end both our nights here. The owners are so helpful, there's a fantastic instruction book in the pod and anything you don't understand they're only a call away. The hot tub was sensational and easy to use. We can't wait to return.
